What a year at emap!

The madness started in March:
March - Environmental Packaging Awards judging
April - Motor Trader Independent Dealer Awards judging
June - Environmental Packaging Summit and Awards in Birmingham
July - Motor Trader Independent Dealer Awards in Birmingham followed by UK Packaging Awards judging
August - UK Qs judging
September - Retail Industry Awards followed by Motor Trader Industry judging
October - UK Packaging Awards
November - Motor Trader Industry Awards followed by UK Qs virtual Awards

And that's not to mention the events my colleagues put on, some that I supported onsite.

What I love about events, is that our audience don't see the sheer hardworking people that build these events from scratch - and that's how it's supposed to be!

I love my job, I love my small but mighty team and I love the industry

Last week Thursday was a blast.

I had no idea this video was captured.

Saying goodbye is never easy, especially when the life lost is so young.
I may not have known her for long but many, many years ago she made an impact that stayed with me, but it was only a few years ago I was able to call her a friend.

She's loved and she will be missed.

Tate was diagnosed with Type 1 back in June. I saw some of the signs but attributed them to his autism and ARFID's.
He was peeing a lot, even in the night, causing him to be tired. He was skinny, like skeletal but refused to eat nutritious food, that I thought would help him put the weight on.

I failed him as a parent because I felt so busy and alone at work, I thought to myself, let me get through this busy period and then I'll have the headspace to support Tate.

Fortunately, our relationship was good enough that he came to me with another problem so I made sure to get him to the doctors, and that's where the doctor rushed me to the hospital because she suspected type 1.

That saved him.

We spent 2 night in hospital to bring his HbA1c levels and 3 months later it's reduced further by 100. He's on a pump which he is managing very well.

Diabetes is not fun, here is a link to resources to help prevent type 2

To my twins,

This was the last time I washed shirts for you for school.
With one more exam to go for you both, I want to take this moment to share that I know that the last 5 years have not been easy.

You didn't sit your SATs but you've just finished your GCSEs; regardless of the results, I'm a proud #Twinmum of #nuerospicy boys!

Twin 1 - what a ride you have been on. The school didn't give you the best start but you've ridden out.

Twin 2 - I've seen you, I see your protectiveness over your Twin brother. Thank you for sticking by his side, for being worried for and about him.

You've both made me laugh, cry, shout in despair, but all of it is done for you. I'm your biggest fan, I got your backs.

You're both have it in you to go far but life isn't a race and you'll get it one day.

I love you both.

Here's to Copenhagen next month.

$Two weeks ago was a busy and fulfilling week: They say "working mum," but that label barely scratches the surface. Last week was a whirlwind, a beautiful chaos that reminded me we're so much more than our job titles. * Monday: Balancing spreadsheets and a fractured arm at the fracture clinic. 💻🩹 * Tuesday: Launching the Honor Oak Summer Solstice and stepping up as the Tenants and Residents Association Secretary. Community building at its finest! ☀️🤝 * Wednesday: Sleep? What's that? A restless night with the youngest, reminding me that motherhood never clocks out. 🌙👶 * Thursday: Kicking off my events season at the Kia Oval! 🏟️🎉 * Friday & Saturday: Shifting gears to celebrate family, cheering on my sister's film pitch and her powerful poetry performance at the Deptford Literature Festival, as well as watching the youngest do a whole school performance for International Day. 🎬🎤 We wear many hats: parent, community member, sibling, supporter, and friend. Let's remember to celebrate the multifaceted lives we lead, beyond the 9 to 5. Because at the end of the day, it's the connections and experiences outside of work that truly enrich our lives. #WorkingMum #Community #Family #Balance #LifeBeyondWork #Multifaceted #SupportSystem #HonorOak #DeptfordLiteratureFestival #KiaOval by @surroundedbymales$

12th year on the trot, bringing magic to the youngest now.

The original elf, though doesn't do the antics we see on social media.

I can't even begin to write or explain how much fun I had on this trip.

I had the most amazing birthday weekend with 3 of my bestest friends! 🎉🥂 Three days of pure joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories. From dinner nights filled with hilarious waiters and impromptu serenades from a Brazilian group to dancing the night away until the early hours, we did it all.

And let's not forget the spontaneous street concert that brought our weekend to a perfect endI am feeling so grateful for these amazing people in my life. ❤️

I don't even want to watch the videos coming on Rafah.
Enough is enough! How do we make this stop? by @surroundedbymales

So I created a #reel on #instagram and selected a song from their library. That reel has been removed because #sonymusicentertainment says I used copyrighted music. Yes, I'm aware but it's on the platform so why can't I use it??

I heard they pulled their catalogue from Tik Tok which I don't use but now assume this across all platforms?? by @surroundedbymales

Had to hold the hand of a 3 year old at 35 years old to go through a rope tunnel because of my fear of heights 🙃 😅

Whilst the 3 year old is so fearless, climbing to the highest points with very little support, figuring out the world around him by himself
