Is this…hope? 🥹

Today we celebrate so many incredible victories—from Texas to Michigan to Georgia to Iowa to Colorado and so many places in between….tomorrow we continue advocating for our rights and holding these elected officials accountable 💪🏻💪🏻

An excellent reminder that THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE IS GREATER THAN THE PEOPLE IN POWER 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 by @sustainablesabs

Some things I ate last month 🌝 1. classic avocado toast

2. The Miles and (me smiling mid-chew with) The Sonny from @orchardgrocer

Thanks for the pic @oyveyitskay 😘

3. RIP to @votfnyc 🥲🥲 for my last meal there I got the jerk Mac and a side of wings, half with bbq sauce the other half w buffalo

4. I’ve had a shocking craving for overnight oats recently? I use the recipe from @coconutsandkettlebells for coconut milk overnight oats. I’ve added some of my homemade grape jam for color :)

5. Iconic vegan pierogis from @babaspierogies 🙂‍↕️ we got the sauerkraut (pan fried) and the jalapeño cheddar (boiled). They accidentally pan fried the jalapeño ones so they have them to us on the house!!

6. Wild Orchard sandwich from @nachafocaccia, I also tried the katsu sandwich which was excellent!!

7. The Mafe Tofu from @joloffrestaurant was a delight! Highly recommend.

8. SEC from @eatplantega 🙂‍↕️ classic by @sustainablesabs

Good friends don’t let friends miss out on voting (and sticker!) opportunities 🤭 #ad

There’s no FOMO quite like seeing everyone else post their ‘I voted’ sticker amiright? So if you need help making a voting plan, make one today at andwevote.org. And I HIGHLY recommend voting early if you can make it!

Raise your hand if you’re the one in the group chat asking if everyone’s registered to vote 🙋‍♀️ #ad

One of my first memories of voting was going with my mom to the polling site in Houston on election day, and I truly believe that those experiences shaped my perspective on voting today.

And now that I live thousands of miles away in Brooklyn, I get to make my own voting plan each election cycle!

Slowly but surely making things I’m proud of 🥹🥹

I’ve been holding onto this beautiful cashmere top for years that unfortunately doesn’t fit me and is dotted with moth holes (some of which I already repaired!).

Now that I’ve got short hair 💇🏻‍♀️ I’ve been looking for some ear warmers to keep me warm in the winter. Voila, this simple project was born. Lmk if you want a tutorial and I’ll share one soon 🪡 by @sustainablesabs

A recent article for InStyle investigates how and why the quality of clothing nowadays has so significantly devolved since ‘ready-to-wear’ garments were first introduced in the early 20th century.

While the article ends with a few helpful suggestions (avoiding polyester, shopping secondhand), the real solution is nowhere to be found in the article.

Yet, sustainable fashion and environmental experts know that the solution to our poorly-made clothing has to come from the top.

Check out my latest piece on why we can’t ‘buy better’ our way out of our fashion problems—and the incredibly unsexy solution that can change everything. You know where to find the 🔗 by @sustainablesabs
