POSTS STORIES REELS

Hi, I’m Jella! I’m a food, lifestyle, travel, and slow fashion content creator based in Calgary. 🇨🇦

I started my minimalism journey in 2016 after reading “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up” by Marie Kondo. Now, I’m building my capsule wardrobe and love thrift store shopping.

I’m passionate about being part of a community that values people and the planet. I’ve volunteered and am involved with Fashion Revolution, promoting transparency and sustainability in the fashion industry.

Lately, I’ve been sharing mostly about food and supporting local restaurants, but I still post about fashion and style occasionally.

In my spare time, I enjoy meaningful conversations over coffee, hanging out with my dogs, reading, cooking, and watching Kdramas on Netflix.

I’d love to connect with each of you, be inspired by your journeys, and learn from you.

Excited to be a part of this community. Let’s connect! 🤗 by @sustypals

Hi ✨

My name is Annette, I’m originally from Mexico but London is where my home is. It’s the place where I discovered charity shops and car boot sales and that’s how I fell in love with second hand. I started my page @thriftingannie almost a year ago. If you visit my page you can see a directory of charity shops around London, England and the World.

I try to encourage people to support small businesses where I live and I love to discover ethical and sustainable brands around the world.

I’ve been amazed by the community out there trying to encourage others to do good and motivate people to change their shopping habits. I hope I can be one of them 💫💙🌎 by @sustypals

Hi, I’m Isabella 🩷

I’m from the UK, currently living in Kent but originally from Birmingham, my instagram is @allmyownthrifts ☺️

Shopping secondhand and sustainably is a big passion of mine and I want to encourage others to shop more sustainably and steer away from fast fashion brands 🌍

I have set myself a goal of not buying new in 2024 and will be sharing my thrift finds along the way ♻️

I believe small changes really can make a big difference, if my instagram page inspires just one person to shop more sustainably it would make it a success ! ❤️

I would love to connect with more people in the slow fashion/sustainable corner of instagram ❤️☺️ by @sustypals

Hi - I’m Tash! 🧡

I’m a passionate vegan committed to supporting the cause of ‘imperfect’ sustainability.

We live in a world that glorifies overconsumption.

I grew up with immigrant parents who always the emphasised the importance of conscious living - reducing consumption, reusing, repairing, repurposing - values that are now deeply embedded in my everyday life.

I LOVE whipping up new creations in the kitchen and embody a balanced approach to health & wellness.

I am an experienced content creator in the vegan, sustainable + conscious living space and love working with brands that share these values.

I am also the founder of @thebrowngirlcollective__ a progressive social community designed for South Asian women to connect, collaborate and celebrate. We hold social events and have a thriving online community.

My fiance and I also have a new podcast called Thinking Out Loud where we have honest conversations on real topics. Unfiltered.

I hope to connect soon! by @sustypals

Hey I’m Sarah - Co-host of the @oceanstories_podcast, outdoor and ocean enthusiast!
The ocean has been my happy place for as long as I can think (even though I‘m still overcoming my fears 🦈🌊)
Seeing our blue planet change so rapidly breaks my heart and it’s my goal to help protect it however possible. Our podcast @oceanstories_podcast is here to make as many people as possible fall in love with the ocean and build a community of ocean lovers that want to help protect our seas.
On my personal account @postcardfromsarah you will see me surf, skate and trying out new sustainable brands. I love fashion and I’m so excited about all the innovative, sustainable brands that care more about the state of our planet than huge profits. by @sustypals

When we save energy, we save money. There are many ways to be energy efficient. Today, I'm covering some that require change in habits and others that require a bit of investment.

Tactics such as servicing of heating and cooling systems or insulating the roof may require investment upfront, but in the long run, they will lead to much less energy usage and lower bills.

Boilers and air conditioning units that have not been serviced for many years don't work efficiently to keep your home warm in the winter or cool in the summer.

For example, if you want to retain an internal temperature of 21 degrees C in the winter, an inefficient boiler will have to work twice as hard to keep to 21 degrees C.

If your walls, roof, and windows are not well maintained or insulated, then the heat the boilers are producing will quickly escape the room, making the boiler work even more.

The more the boiler works, the more energy it will use. In most countries, natural gas is the primary source of energy and greenhouse gas emissions (that lead to climate change).

If you want to know how much more, install a smart meter. They are great visual representation of what we cannot see (the more energy you are using, the more you will see the cost on your smart meter rise).

My name is Sean Flinn. I have worked in climate action and marine conservation. I have worked in both research and in outreach. Most recently running a youth engagement project in Scotland. At the moment I am working freelance running workshops with educators, community workers and other environmental organisations on how to talk to young people about climate change and the biodiversity crisis. I am running these workshops both locally abroad. This week I will be running a workshop online for 16 different environmental outreach organisations in Vietnam. I decided to switch careers a few years ago from secondary teaching after reading a book called ‘stung‘ a book about jellyfish by Lisa Ann Gershwin. jellyfish were used as a proxy for various marine conservation issues. I was overwhelmed after reading that book with a feeling that I wanted to do more by @sustypals

Hi everyone, I’m Maz. I live in Preston, Lancashire, with my husband and 2 kids.

I became quite conscious about the environment not long after me and my husband moved in together. Seeing food wrapped in unnecessary plastic, food waste & clothing were probably the 3 things that stood out the most initially. We soon started to make small changes like being more aware of the brands we buy, meal prepping to reduce food waste, and just recycling more.

11 years later, we have 2 children and 2 allotment plots, which we absolutely love. Our ultimate goal is to grow food continuously so we have a year-round crop. Eventually, we want to eat seasonally, eating what’s in season to avoid having to buy fruit and veg from the supermarkets. We are also very aware about the importance of reducing energy consumption and are continuously trying to reduce our energy usage all the time. We use rainwater in the garden and the allotment when we can by having water butts.Small steps are better than no steps x by @sustypals
