the charms of living in a small town wah the charsiu here is so soft & juicy😭😭 hands down one of the best ive had! homemade🏡 bonus: also order the wonton soup & beansprouts! some of my favourite eats over the month! Restoran Sri Yashini (Malathi Restaurant) - economy rice style indian foooood - love their prawn curry or squid curry, but tbh everything is good - try drinking masala tea! Restaurant RT - their signature deep fried chicken (ask them for belacan sauce on the side), kerabu mango ikan bilis, and nyonya steam or fried fish Kaede Japanese Restaurant - salmon steak set or beef steak set, my fav is their sauceee kinda like a miso mustard sauce!! So addicting Nasi Lemak Ong - a viral classic nasi lemak economy rice style - you get to eat it on top of banana leaf! - good to try if its ur first time! lov this pilates place, in simpang kuala! really great certified instructors, i had my private sessions with angie & yanni (the owners!) my mom had qian hui as her private instructor. i am so humbled by these group classes every time. they challenge you and definitely improve your strength & stability overtime! need to try their new tower machines!! a weekend trip to hatyaiii for some thailand fun!! go to central department store for some local brands- some nice brands like yacco maricard, jaspal, etc! dont forget to go grocery shopping at lotus supermarket before leaving bonus: head to beautrium for some @inguskin skincare products! a new pilates studio around the block, the owners peggy & lydia put a lot of care and thought into this place!! they’ve got mat and reformer classes! both worth a try, a very aesthetic, cozy studiooo🌟 loveee me a good home-cooked style restaurant!! i appreciate smaller cities like alor setar where the restaurants still have the owners as the cooks! this place actually hochiak😆 by @suvihoo

fun fun to try 温柔的感觉！！ by @suvihoo
some of our yum yum hongkong eats!!! pineapple bun after pineapple bun, cha chaan teng hopping all day err day for breakfast! if you come to kam wah café, try the french toast with butter! this was surprisingly really good?! like light but also there was a hint of citrusy so didn’t leave us feeling heavy from the butter & egg something i love about travelling in asia is the amount of comforting meals you can get! bring cash if you come to sheung hei! order the fish, cantonese dish style 新會陳皮蒸斑翅 and & their sizzling claypot, we just ordered the most famous one, they mix it for you on the spot. I would say the claypot was super super crispy, made the rice flakey and slightly stuck to my teeth (if you don’t mind that) but the flavors were p fire! this sourdough egg tart altered my brain chemistry for sure. Bakehouse can be found in multiple locations around HK but this was close to Tsim Tsa Shui, Mongkok area! So soft with a slight crispy crust with a bit of bite, not too sweet, yummyyy. Wish i ate this for my last morning breakfast meal before flying out, still lowkey regret not getting it hahah oof i was p surprised by the goose here, so tender, no left over odour from the goose!! Don’t forget to ask for more green onion😆 the sauce adds an extra umph you didn’t know you needed. Other than the goose, i would say the pork & chicken are quite comparable to Vancouver’s Parker Place HK BBQ and HK BBQ master🤭 The double steamed pudding is not a viral tiktok or insta hoax! To my surprise, it was a sweet milk pudding, not your softest type of milk pudding but the texture reminds me a lot of beancurd with ginger sauce (iykyk), i love me a good milk pudding tbh. So if you’re in Causeway bay area, check this out! Was nice & comforting to also get the hot ginger steamed milk pudding! I would say the milk is nothing too special, i still prefer hokkaido milk, but still p good for you to try! Sam really wanted to take me here to try the stir-fried beef! It was a super memorable meal for him and he mentioned sir oi man sang was still there and super friendly!! Can’t wait to try this next time i’m back in hongkong! by @suvihoo
and that wraps this taiwan trip🥹 walking through jiu fen lao jie or jiu fen old street! stumbled upon cute corners to take photos trying the local red yeast pork meatball, like a mochi texture with savoury meat inside, interesting to try did not find this online, just walked past it and a lot of people were inside! experience sitting next to other strangers while enjoying their beef brisket dry spicy noodles, this was a memorable meal! one of the highlights of our jiufen & shifen day trip. sit at the multi-level a-mei tea house that apparently inspired studio ghibli’s spirited away film! beautiful irl🥹✨ order some tea, enjoy it with a light cheesecake and enjoy the view of the pacific ocean. The tea set is quite expensive but i’d say you are paying for the experience & view. handmade taro balls that are served with shaved ice, a sugary sauce and warm red bean soup taste was ok, but a local dessert to try such a fun experience! sky lantern experience! choose the one with a multi-colored lantern because why not?! write as much as you can, fill-em with all your wishes!! we were only allowed to let them go at the side of the railroad track, not in the middle so the videos and photos were not that great. definitely enjoyed jiufen more due to the alleys, unique stores and lanterns here and there! however you can get from jiufen to shifen by taxi and also take a taxi from the train station. by @suvihoo
