Love you sooooo much @stutichandhok by @swati_sodhi

30 years of memories, 30 years of love, 30 years that flew by way too quickly, 30 years of watching you grow…every moment has been a blessing 🥰 Thank you Arj for giving me the privilege of being your mum…From scraped knees to rushed mornings to coffee dates and somewhere along the way, you turned into my therapist and my shoulder to lean on but no matter where you go and how far you physically are and whether you’re 3, 13 or 30, you’ll always be my precious little boy…
May your zest for life never fade, may your worries fall away, may the days always excite you, may good people always surround you, may you always get the best seats in the house, may you heart be always filled with love and may your new aeropress always make the perfect coffee 😍
Happy Birthday my son 🤗Love you loads and then some 💖 by @swati_sodhi

Musings on the morning after my birthday…

Being sick with the flu was a bit of a bummer (we had all kinds of things planned with family and friends especially since my bday coincided with Raksha Bandhan)
But then it gave me forced rest (yes, I actually rested…haha those who know, know! 😂)
It allowed me to really catch up with friends who called.
It gave me permission to put my feet up, savour a warm drink, order in pizza, eat straight out of the box, and chill with my boys (such a rare blessing to have them all in one place! ❤️)
And…it gave me time to reflect…
Not to sound fatalistic, but when you realise that you have less life ahead of you than what you’ve left behind, it starts sort of putting things in perspective.
My brain has recently started questioning me, sometimes rather urgently- the most persistent one being- Does it really matter?

So layers start to fall away…
And gratitude follows 💖
For the here and now, because that’s all you can be sure about.
Lessons are being learnt, the future is yet unknown, but the here and now is the truth and infusing that with gratitude and love is in my mind the only way to create a past that I can look at with pride as I move ahead.
Yes, there’s so much I still want to do, lots I want to achieve…the books I’m yet to write, theatre that consistently excites me, travel to places I haven’t seen…
But strangely, I no longer feel like I’m in a rush.
Things will unfold at their own time, but in the meantime, I have a puppy to cuddle, cakes to consume, fresh coffee and oriental lilies to smell and my boys to hug…so life is good ❤️
Thank you to each and every one of you who wished me, on social media, calls, text messages, voice notes, surprise packages and dropping in to say hi with chocolates and cookies 😁
I love you all and I’m thankful for each and every wish…you warmed my heart and made me feel like queen for a day 👑💖

And to my boys…Ravi Sodhi Arjun Sodhi Ishaan Sodhi Adi Lall and Zola 🥰Thank you! For every little thing you did to make sure I had the best day!
I’m lucky, I’m blessed and I’m so so grateful 💖💖
