Book Review…. This was an ARC of ‘Naughty Santa and the Good Girl Elf’ by @authorlexidavis which comes out on 12 November 2026 This was a nice little read, which certainly gives you all the relevant Christmas feels with no real angst or heartbreak. Love the connection between Evie and Sam, especially when he slowly changes into the Santa that we have all come to know and love. Also loved Rudolph and how he initially interacts with Sam when he first arrives. It certainly made me laugh.
This was such an easy read that would go well with a Christmassy drink and a few cookies now that those evenings are getting dark. Well done Lexi. 🎅 Spicy 🎄 Forced Proximity 🎅 Boss x Employee 🎄 Workplace Temptation 🎅 Forbidden Romance #christmasromance #christmasfeels #bookreview #bookishcontent #capcut by @swg_loves_to_read
Current Read…. This is ‘Into the Fading Twilight’ by @catherinecowlesauthor and is the second book in the Starlight Grove Series. She’s known nothing but darkness for 413 days…but he’ll burn down the world to save her. After a year in captivity, Nova Monroe is back in Starlight Grove - but she’s not the same woman who vanished. She lives on the edge, chases adrenaline, and refuses to be caged again. Cliff diving. Mountain biking. Anything to feel alive and outrun the memories clawing at her. But the single dad with shadows of his own won’t let her face it alone. Especially when she finds herself needing a place to stay. Kol Archer has made it his mission to protect her. As a Forest Service investigator, he’s no stranger to rugged terrain or battling for control. But nothing prepared him for Nova - her fire, her fight, the way she makes him feel something he thought was lost. The closer they get, the more dangerous things become. Someone doesn’t want Nova to move on. And Kol is determined to stop them - no matter the cost. Because for the first time in forever, Nova’s not just surviving. She’s learning how to live, how to trust, and reminding Kol he can, too. But as darkness looms, the truth could destroy them both… #currentread #bookishcontent #romanticsuspense #starlightgroveseries by @swg_loves_to_read
Current Read…. This is an ARC of ‘Naughty Santa and the Good Girl Elf’ by @authorlexidavis and comes out on 12 November 2026 and is available now to pre order. The North Pole has never been this hot. After years of being known as the fun-loving elf, Evie has finally been trusted with something important - helping a new Santa transition into the most magical job in the world. Her plans to be good are quickly derailed when New Santa turns out to be nothing like she expected. Santa is young, human-raised, and more attractive than the North Star on a clear night. Unfortunately, he’s also full of ideas about dragging Christmas into the 21st Century. When the elves learn of his plans for assembly lines, gift bags, and low-calorie cookies, they quickly label him as a Grinch. Now Evie’s stuck at Santa’s side, teaching him North Pole traditions, introducing him to eight hundred skeptical elves, and trying to keep a grumpy Rudolph from biting him. But the more time they spend together, the more Santa looks at Evie like she’s the present he wants to unwrap and the more she notices how good he looks in a sleigh. This is a problem because the Noth Pole has rules. One of them is very, very clear - Elves and Santa do NOT fraternize. There should be no flirting, no touching, no kissing and definitely no falling for her hot, forbidden boss unless Evie wants to end up on the Naughty List. Too bad Santa wants more than cookies for Christmas this year… This book is a spicy, swoony, forbidden Christmas romance with forced proximity, workplace temptation, a hot Santa, his very off-limits elf, lots of naughty list behavior and a festive happily ever after 🎄💕🎄💕🎄 #christmasromance #spicyromance #currentread #indieauthor bookishcontent by @swg_loves_to_read
Currently on my way back from Boston but while I was waiting at Boston Logan Airport I came across this little fella… It was so Ilya coded I knew it had to come home with me 😘 #puckfriend #ilyarozanov #heatedrivalry #81 #bostonraiders by @swg_loves_to_read
Book Review…. Currently on my holi bobs and decided to take this little beauty with me. This was an ARC Read of Country Vows by @author.ronniemathews the second book in the Iris Meadows Series which is a Marriage in Crisis romance which revolves around Talia and Tate Brookes and came out yesterday 💕 A beautiful story which I absolutely loved. You truly felt for both Talia and Tate in different ways, and of course, there was their friendship group, who was always there when they needed them. The tension between the both of them was certainly intense, as they slowly began to open up to each other about the events that had led to the current circumstances they found themselves in.
Loved how Talia and Tate looked after each other when they could see they were struggling, and that they each had their little ways to show this. Although I’m still fairly new to Ronnie Mathews’s book I am beginning to become a fan. 💕 Small Town 🎶 Marriage in Crisis 💕 Childhood Sweethearts 🎶 Country Music Star 💕 Forced Proximity 🎶 Secret Tattoo 💕 Dual POV #bookreview #smalltownromance #indieauthor #ronniemathews #bookishcontent by @swg_loves_to_read
Book Review…. This is for ‘Ice Ice Baby’ by @carlyrobynauthor which I have read as part of @spicylitlounge Travelling Book Club. A lovely little story which covers love, loss and everything in between. It was so nice to see Cole slowly fall for Maya and he could begin to see her insecurities and let her slowly open up to him and not rush her into anything, which may spook her. And of course, there was Maya, who had her doubts about Cole, whilst everyone around her could see he was good for her, with Cole trying to be there for her whenever possible.
Well worth a read if you haven’t read anything by Carly before 💕 🏒 Ice Hockey Romance 💕 Strangers to Lovers 🏒 Slow Burn 💕 He Falls First 🏒 Opposites Attract 💕 Golden Retriever x Black Cat 🏒 Non Stop Banter 💕 Dual POV #bookreview #icehockeyromance #bookishcontent #travellingbookclub by @swg_loves_to_read
Current Read….. My penultimate book in the latest round of @spicylitlounge Travelling Book Club. ‘Ice Ice Baby’ by @carlyrobynauthor and is the first book in the Boston Bobcats Series. He’s the plot twist she didn’t see coming... Maya Silver doesn’t believe in happily ever afters, nor does she want one. She’s too busy managing the Book Nook, a cozy Boston bookstore where romance novels fly off the shelves. After one too many disappointments, she’s learned that love is unpredictable, and most promises don’t last. So love in real life? That’s a story Maya’s shelved for good. Enter Nicholas “Cole” Berrett, the Boston Bobcats’ star player. He’s built his whole life around the game, and it’s paid off. He’s got his routine perfected until Maya crashes into it with stories, sarcasm, and a smile he can’t stop thinking about. She’s not chasing a puck or a paycheck, and for once, he’s not thinking about the next practice or game, he’s thinking about her. Maya’s not interested in being won over, but Cole is used to pursuing things worth winning. And as they spend more time together, the harder it is to ignore the fiery pull between them and the way their connection feels like something more. But having spent her whole life believing true love was only found in books, will Maya be brave enough to begin a love story of her own? #currentread #icehockeyromance #travellingbookclub #slowburn by @swg_loves_to_read
Book Review…. This is the fifth and final book in the Vancouver Storm Series - ‘The Wild Card’ by Stephanie Archer And wow, what a way to end a series….. Started the series at the beginning of this year and I’m so glad I did, as it has been really enjoyable.
Absolutely loved Jordan and Tate’s story as they tried to fight against what was slowly happening between them - it was such a good slow burn story, and the tension between them was top tier.
An absolutely delightful read, and I am so sad that my time with the Vancouver Storm Gang has finally come to an end 🥺 🏒 Ice Hockey Romance ❤️ Forced Proximity 🏒 Enemies to Lovers ❤️ Single Dad 🏒 Boss x Employee ❤️ Found Family 🏒 Slow Burn #bookreview #icehockeyromance #vancouverstormseries #slowburn by @swg_loves_to_read
