The Undercurrent presents Brooke Wharehinga! Brooke is a passionate vocalist returning home after studying in Christchurch. She is an entertainer at heart, and can’t wait to dive back into Wellington’s art scene. She will be joined by a crew of musical accomplices to bring you an evening of modern R&B and dangerously groovy music. Brooke will be front and centre, supported by Ranu Wijesuriya on drums, Logan Heppell on the keys, Jago Watson holding down the low end, and Sylv Green on trumpet and percussion. Together, they will get the Undercurrent turnt up. Join us for a night of fire music and immaculate atmosphere. You will not want to miss this. Thursday Nov 26 Doors 7pm Music 7:30pm $15 Tickets available online and at the door! Snacks, a range of refreshing drinks, tea & coffee, and of course...books available for purchase! We’ll see you there ☆ by @sylv_green

The Undercurrent presents the Evie & Sylvester Duo! This cohesive duo is serving up a smattering of delicate standards and poetic originals. Evie Patterson will be sculpting sonically with the contrabasso and Sylvester Green carving melodic elements with the triple valved horn. It would be a shame to miss these two Wellington Giants’ fierce collaboration in serving you exquisite vibrations THIS Sunday, what a treat. it’s been an incredibly amazing journey of learning and renewal 🌱. i couldn’t be more excited to share music and receive it <3 shoutout to my bandmates, friends, and supervisors who have helped me develop a more conscious and meaningful approach to music making. my research and thesis foregrounds mary lou williams, melba liston/randy weston, and geri allen, so this recital will feature their compositions :) as well as some of my original work and collaborations. hope to see u there !!!! 📸: @camendi_photo by @sylv_green
