In case some of y’all missed my last message in this section, I was incredibly excited to announce that I had the opportunity to be at Rupp Arena to broadcast the game between North Laurel and Warren Central last week. It was something I have dreamed about ever since I joined Sporting Times about three years ago. It was an experience like no other—getting to see the teams take the floor and compete in one of the most famous arenas in the country.
I was able to do play-by-play for the game, and it was such a joy because both teams were coming off regional championships and had punched their tickets to the state tournament. It was incredible to watch the high school athletes compete at that level while also being close to the action. In the end, North Laurel won 52–38, and while my time at Rupp Arena was short, the memories I made will last a lifetime.
First, I want to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, because without Him, none of this would be possible. Second, I want to thank my boss, Doug Thompson, Director of Operations Joe Brunk, and my coworkers for their support and for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to do what I love. Finally, I want to thank everyone—whether it’s the STAA community, my family, or others—for your continued support. Something I thought over six years ago might never happen ended up becoming a reality.
I want to leave you all with this: if you continue to work hard in this business and truly love what you do, keep dreaming because one day something big can happen. That’s exactly what happened for me, and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to broadcast at Rupp Arena during the state tournament. Keep believing in yourself so that others can believe in you too.

On August 30th, I celebrated my 5 year broadcasting anniversary. I am grateful to be in a great position alongside great people and learn from those that were in my shoes. I am honored and blessed by God, my family and friends being in this industry because without it. I would not be the young man I am today.

The first broadcast I ever did was on August 30th, 2019. I did color commentary alongside Lou Pickney, in which he introduced me to this job and industry, so I am forever grateful to him because he helped get started in this profession. Also grateful for Hoss Peterson who helped out in big way as well when I started football play-by-play by Junior Year of High School

Most recently, I have learned a lot from Reily Chestnut, the current Voice of Lady Toppers. I am excited for what the next five have in store for me. by @t_the_qb

Another Year, Another Duke Collapse in the final minutes. Lessons to take from this is that you play two halves and history repeats itself. Best of luck to UConn, Illinois, Arizona, and Michigan in the final four. by @t_the_qb
