10 years ago, I held those little hands, taught her the little things, wiped her tears, and celebrated every tiny milestone.

Today, those little hands are growing into someone who has her own dreams, opinions, choices and a personality of her own.

Time has changed so much. The way we talk, the things we do, the conversations we share… even the way she looks at the world.

I scold her, correct her, teach her to be responsible, independent and strong. Sometimes I wonder if I’m doing enough to prepare her for the world.

But then, in the middle of all this growing up, she does something so silly, gives me that familiar smile or comes running to me, and I’m reminded that somewhere inside this growing-up girl is still my little baby.

More than a decade have passed. She’s grown up so much.

But one thing hasn’t changed… the way my heart sees her. ❤️

I may be raising a young girl into a strong woman, but she will always be the little girl who made me a mother.

10 years ago, we held her little hands.
Today, we hold on a little tighter. ❤️

We’ve scolded her.
We’ve loved her fiercely.
We’ve corrected her, taught her, worried about her, and celebrated every little win.

Because we want her to grow into a responsible, kind and independent human being.

But the funny thing about parenting is…

While we’re busy preparing them for the world,
our hearts never really let them grow up.

She may have grown taller.
Her world may have become bigger.
She may need us a little less.

But to us?

She’s still that little girl.
Still our baby.
Still the one we want to hold a little longer. 🥹❤️

10 years apart.
And somehow, nothing has changed.
