WE’RE NUMBER ONE!

I’m over the moon to share that my album “This Is Me” has officially reached #1 on the Australian Classical Crossover Charts today!😭

To say I’m speechless would be an understatement — to surpass Andrea Bocelli in album sales this week is genuinely a dream come true. His voice has inspired me for as long as I can remember, so to see my name above his on the charts is beyond surreal.

This album is a piece of my heart — a journey through music, identity, and authenticity — and I’m so deeply grateful it’s resonated with so many of you.

A huge thank you to my wonderful manager Robert Rigby, the incredible team at Ambition, and the brilliant Robin Smith and @maxime_obadia_music , who produced this album with such care and vision.

To everyone who’s listened, supported, and shared — this moment is ours.

The reason I started this career😭

Song: “Maria” from West Side Story

This performance was so refreshing. Inspiring and speaking to these young artists made me fall in love again with this job.

I’ve spent the last few weeks teaching The Prayer from The Scarlet Pimpernel to 1150 tenors(more like 7) for Les Misérables Australia submissions, so I thought I’d have a crack myself.

The audio cuts out because my voice is apparently too big for the recording. Don’t care. I’m a tenor.

A little photo dump from the last month in Australia 🇦🇺

It never gets easier saying goodbye—especially when it means leaving my beautiful family in North Queensland. My heart’s already missing them. Currently at Brisbane airport ready to take off to London

But I’m also so excited to be heading back to London to see my fiancé and spend some proper quality time together. Feeling incredibly grateful to call Australia home, lucky to have family I love so much, and ready for a new chapter back in London.

Oh, and I got a tattoo. 😂✨ by @tabonetenor

Singing “My Way” with the Fraser Coast Orchestra.. and then catching our concertmaster @kellielist in this beautiful moment. That smile says everything. What a joy to share the music with you all. 🎶

This is what heartbreak sounds like in Neapolitan Italian. 💔

In the chorus of Core ’ngrato, he cries out to Caterina, devastated that she seems to have forgotten his love:

“Ungrateful heart, you’ve taken my life; now you’ve forgotten me.”

Does knowing what the words mean make the song even more heartbreaking?

Happy Birthday @lucianopavarottifoundation. Thanks for everything you have done for me.

A moment from the end of Nessun Dorma this weekend with the wonderful Fraser Coast Orchestra, directed by Barrie Gott. @barrie.gott.33

I had the pleasure of travelling to Hervey Bay and the beautiful city of Maryborough for such a special weekend @brolga_theatre. Everyone in the orchestra was so kind and welcoming, and we made incredible music together. I can’t wait to share more with you! 🎶

🎭🌹 40 YEARS OF THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA! 🌹🎭

A show that changed my life forever.

As we celebrate 40 extraordinary years of The Phantom of the Opera, I can’t help but reflect on the incredible journey this masterpiece has taken me on.

From Australia to London’s West End, I had the immense privilege of being part of one of the most iconic musicals in theatrical history, bringing the role of Ubaldo Piangi to life.

1,862 performances. ❤️

1,862 opportunities to walk onto that stage, hear Andrew Lloyd Webber’s magnificent score, wear those extraordinary costumes, and share the magic of live theatre with audiences from all around the world.

What began as a dream for a young boy growing up in Ingham, North Queensland, became a chapter of my life that I will treasure forever.

The friendships, the laughter, the backstage memories, the standing ovations, the extraordinary artists I had the privilege of working alongside, and the countless moments that reminded me why I fell in love with performing in the first place.

The Phantom of the Opera wasn’t simply a job. It became a family, a home away from home, and one of the greatest privileges of my career.

To every cast member, musician, creative, crew member, and member of the incredible Phantom family who shared this journey with me, thank you. You all hold a very special place in my heart.

And to the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber, Charles Hart, Richard Stilgoe, Hal Prince, and Gillian Lynne, thank you for creating something that has inspired generations of performers and audiences alike.

Forty years later, the music continues to captivate the world.

The music of the night will live on forever. 🎶🕯️

Happy 40th Anniversary, The Phantom of the Opera. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your extraordinary history.

With love and gratitude,

Paul Ettore Tabone ❤️
