Light and Smooth, Shimano's 2026 Vanquish CE If you're a tackle enthusiast and a fan of Shimano's product, you've likely struggled with the difference between their JDM and North American lines. Whether real or simply perceived, it seems the Curado is always greener when it has that little scorpion logo on the cast control knob. It doesn't help that some of Shimano's higher end casting reels simply aren't available through North American tackle stores anymore, and until this year, neither was their Vanquish spinning reel. This year, ahead of ICAST and even the Bassmaster Classic, Shimano made the uncommon January announcement of a North American model Vanquish with availability beginning towards the end of February. So of course, naturally, I go out and acquire a JDM model to check out. Apparently you can lure an Enthusiast to the tackle store, but old habits die hard. Visit TackleTour.com now where @caltackletour shares his thoughts about Shimano Japan's 2026 Vanquish CE C2000SHG. @shimanofishing_jp @fish_shimano_north_america by @tackletour
Appetizer or Main Course? How Tasty Can It Be? D Style's Geelacanth As fun and relaxing as bass fishing can be, it is also, sometimes inexplicably, a highly competitive recreational activity. Friends, acquaintances, strangers and frenemies are almost always looking to one up each other as if some kind of inherent skill set and not chance determines whether that fish at the end of your line is one pound or six (all baits being equal). Now, frequency of hookups might be a better measurement of angling skill, and in pursuit of that upper hand, anglers are always looking for "the bait" that will catch more than anyone else in their real or virtual angling circle. Like Fishing With an Old Friend, ARK Fishing International's Gravity GS7 Spinning Reel It's been nearly ten years (est. 2017) since @arkfishingrods hit the scene with sensibly priced rods that perform above their price point. They stepped things up in 2022 with the introduction of their suite of three low profile casting reels. That suite now spans seven models. It was only a matter of time before they ventured to the spinning reel side of the aisle. Here's our look at ARK Fishing International's Gravity GS7 spinning reel. A Vibe Not Sensed Since... Megabass's Destroyer TS King of Baccarat Back a few years, around 2022, I found myself in need of a big bait stick capable of handling two rather large topwater rat baits I had acquired from Illude Bait Company's resin bait subdivision, Lunker Fighters. They were the Zombie XL two and three piece baits weighing nine and nine and a half ounces (9 & 9.5oz) respectively. I had sticks that could handle it of course, namely my Gan Craft Dead Sword R-One, but when that Enthusiast bone begins to ache, the only way to soothe it is by clicking "Buy it Now" and so this is how I came into possession with the subject of today's review : @megabassamerica's Destroyer T.S. TS78X+ King of Baccarat. Link to complete article in bio or check out TackleTour.com by @tackletour
