Fun Fact: Monarch butterflies have a special connection to Día de los Muertos! 🦋 Every year, millions of monarch butterflies arrive in Mexico in late October and early November, right around the holiday. It's believed these butterflies carry the spirits of loved ones returning to visit their families. Their arrival each year is a reminder that even after someone is gone, the connection we share with them lives on. 🧡 #tacolu #diadelosmuertos by @tacolujaxbeach

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is celebrated annually from October 31 to November 2 and is a very special time here at TacoLu! We have great respect for this cultural holiday, which is truly a celebration of those who have passed, not a sad or morbid gathering. Each year, we carefully and respectfully honor those loved ones who have passed with pictures and offerings on the TacoLu ofrenda (altar). Our altar means a lot to many people, and we carefully keep and protect each item, year after year. All guests are invited to place photos of their loved ones here and to enjoy a meal while reflecting and honoring their families and ours! by @tacolujaxbeach

Some places are popular for a reason, and TacoLu is definitely one of them. 🌮🍹 If you’re new to the Jacksonville Beaches, put this one on your list of must-try local favorites. My personal fav is the avocado taco, but you really can’t go wrong with any of them. @tacolujaxbeach is one of those spots that works for just about any occasion. The kids and I stop in for dinner after practice, it’s a favorite for happy hour margaritas with my girlfriends, and it’s just as good for a low key date night. It’s casual, fun, and has been a Jacksonville Beach favorite for years. Just don’t show up on Mondays- they’re closed 😉 One of the things I’ve always loved about living at the Beaches is how easy it is to have your favorite neighborhood spots become part of your everyday routine. And after more than 20 years here, I can tell you it’s those little things that really make this place feel like home. 📍 TacoLu | Jacksonville Beach, Florida 🌴 Thinking about making the Jacksonville Beaches home? Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my free Jacksonville Beaches relocation guide, with the inside scoop on neighborhoods, local favorites, and what it’s really like to live here. by @tacolujaxbeach
