🦵 Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Rehabilitation 🦵 Recovering from an ACL injury or ACL reconstruction surgery requires a structured rehabilitation program to restore knee strength, stability, balance, and function. ACL rehabilitation focuses on reducing pain and swelling, regaining range of motion, strengthening muscles, improving balance and coordination, and safely returning to sports and daily activities. A proper rehab program is essential to reduce the risk of re-injury and achieve the best possible recovery. 📌 Save this post for future reference 📤 Share it with someone recovering from an ACL injury 💬 Comment your questions below 💌 DM for Physiotherapy Consultations (Online & Offline) 📚 DM for Notes & Study Material 🧠 DM for Help with Physiotherapy & Medical Topics ✨ Follow @physiobyjc for daily physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and healthcare content. Your knee doesn’t just lose a ligament after an ACL tear. It loses information. The ACL contains mechanoreceptors that help your brain sense where the knee is in space. After injury—and even after reconstruction—your nervous system relies much more on other inputs, especially vision, to guide movement. That’s why so many athletes feel fine… Until they have to look up at the ball. Or scan the field. Or react to an opponent. Suddenly the knee feels slower, less stable, or unpredictable. Not because it’s weak. Because your brain can’t rely on visual input forever. Great rehab isn’t just about building stronger muscles. It’s about rebuilding confidence and movement without needing to watch your knee every second. That’s why reactive drills, dual-task exercises, and sport-specific decision-making become essential before returning to sport. If your knee only feels stable when you’re looking at it… the problem may not be strength. It may be visual reliance. Train your body to trust your knee again—even when your eyes are focused somewhere else.
The last guy is all of us. This time last year, Michigan’s Peyton Trammer was recovering from an ACL tear that occurred during football in the fall of 2024. When he returned to the track in April of 2025, he opens with an 11.63 and a 24.73. By the end of the season he had dropped those to 10.57 and 21.71. Now he’s on top of the US Leaderboard. Someone is about to get a STEAL in recruitment.
The “not so hidden” cause of ACL tears For years, we’ve been told it’s about weak knees, bad landings, or just plain old bad luck. And we’ve spent countless hours doing drills to strengthen the muscles right around the knee, thinking that was the only solution. But then I had an athlete who did everything right. Her squat form was perfect, her stability was incredible. And she still went down with a non-contact ACL tear. It made absolutely no sense, and it forced me to look for answers somewhere else. There is a fundamental structural difference between most male and female athletes that drastically changes how force travels through the body. And most training programs completely fail to account for it. It’s the hips. Because female athletes typically have a wider pelvis, it creates a sharper angle from the hip down to the knee, known as the Q-angle. This angle puts a ton of rotational stress on the ACL during cutting, jumping, and landing. The knee isn’t the cause; it’s just where the chain reaction ends. The real problem starts with neuromuscular control at the hips. Follow for part 2 where I show you the 3 best exercises to strengthen the hips and protect your knees 💾 #femaleathlete #injuryprevention #strengthandconditioning
He might have a generational rookie season, insanely impressive 🔥 @totalistrading Romello Height is the most unlikely first-team rep story of the entire 2026 training camp — and he’s making the absolute most of his opportunity. With Nick Bosa easing his way back from ACL surgery and second-year edge rusher Mykel Williams still on the PUP list with his own ACL tear, Height got the chance to run with the first-team defense on Day 1 of practice — an opportunity most third-round picks don’t see until midseason. Height’s college journey alone is one of the most remarkable in recent draft history — six seasons at four different schools, Auburn, USC, Georgia Tech, and Texas Tech — before finally breaking out in his final year with 10 sacks and First-Team All-Big 12 honors. His four-year rookie deal is worth approximately $7.33 million with a signing bonus of $1.79 million — modest money for a player who could end up being one of the most important pieces of this defense if Bosa’s comeback hits any setbacks. The 49ers finished dead last in sacks without Bosa last season — and Height is walking into a room where production is desperately needed immediately. Ryan Gosling's Hilarious Fake Jeopardy! Win for Project Hail Mary In February 2026, Ryan Gosling made a surprise appearance in a Jeopardy!-themed promo video for his upcoming sci-fi film Project Hail Mary, based on the novel by Andy Weir. The Final Jeopardy clue, under the category "Medicine," referenced a 1967 injury to Red Sox pitcher Jim Lonborg — the correct answer being "ACL." While one of Gosling's staged opponents nailed it, Gosling admitted defeat with a deadpan "What is... IDK?" — tossing in a sweet "I ❤️ Eva" nod to partner Eva Mendes. But host Ken Jennings had a twist: since an ACL tear is also medically known as "IDK" (internal derangement of the knee), Gosling's honest guess was ruled correct — handing him a surprise win with a game total of $51,200. The clip, though clearly a scripted promo rather than a real episode, quickly went viral, with fans loving Gosling's dry humor and the clever medical wordplay tying into his role as a science teacher stranded in space. 🎬 Project Hail Mary hits theaters March 20, 2026. 😂 Did Gosling deserve the win? Watch the clip and let us know in the comments! #RyanGosling #ProjectHailMary #Jeopard
