In a major breakthrough, Gujarat ATS has uncovered a drug manufacturing factory in Uttar Pradesh linked to a small drug seizure in Ahmedabad’s Danilimda area. What began with the arrest of a suspect carrying just 4.6 grams of narcotics quickly escalated into a multi-state investigation, exposing a larger drug network operating across Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh.
After days of interrogation and intelligence gathering, ATS traced the supply chain to Ambedkar Nagar in UP, where a fully operational illegal drug factory was discovered. The raid led to the seizure of 6 kg of MD (mephedrone), 50 kg of liquid substance, and nearly 200 kg of raw materials and chemicals used in drug production—collectively worth crores in the illegal market.
Authorities arrested two key suspects from UP, adding to earlier arrests in Gujarat, taking the total number of accused to five. The operation highlights how even small drug recoveries can unravel large-scale networks, and underscores the growing coordination between state agencies in cracking down on organized narcotics operations.

The sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, #Khairtabad Zone Team, in coordination with Mangalhat Police, conducted a raid based on credible intelligence and apprehended one individual involved in the illegal sale of banned electronic cigarettes.
