“If those girls don’t go to school, their children are not going to school. Poverty perpetuates itself.” At the 70th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, our Chief Executive, Nigeria, @nabilaaguele, spoke at Education as the First Step to Justice for Women and Girls, hosted by @soroptimistglobal at the Permanent Mission of Ireland to the United Nations. Her message was clear: education is not just opportunity, it is justice. When girls are denied the chance to learn, the consequences ripple across generations, for everyone. #CSW70 #UNWomen
It was a pleasure attending the UN CSW70 with these amazing women
❤️🇺🇳Spending the past 2 weeks at the United Nations has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I had the honor of being selected as a delegate for CSW70 at the United Nations Headquarters, New York. From powerful conversations to engaging with global leaders and delivering presentations, this experience has stretched my voice and deepened my purpose. I am only getting started 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 #education #advocacy #70csw #un #sunday
Our submission to the United Nations is grounded in the voices of learners themselves. @equaledu equalisers participated in our Eastern Cape workshop on learner pregnancy, their rights, and menstrual health. Learners spoke directly about their experiences, their needs, and the changes they want to see. We believe learners know what they need. It is time for the law to listen and catch up.✊🏾
Africa is not waiting — it is collaborating. 🇰🇪💚 Kenya welcomes us into economic participation, and we are ready to build, connect, and lead across borders. This is bigger than business — this is legacy, impact, and continental growth. The question is not if Africa will rise… It’s who will be part of building it. #AfricaRising #EconomicParticipation #LegacyBuilders”**
At the Commission on the Status of Women today. One thing that always stands out is seeing people from all over the world having conversations about women’s issues. Different countries, different experiences… yet so many of the challenges are the same. Moments like this remind me why community work matters so much. Looking forward to learning, connecting, and bringing those insights back to the communities we serve. #unwomen #unitednations #csw #jumokecaresfoundation #womensupportingwomen
Today we celebrate African women whose education abroad helped shape extraordinary impact at home and around the world. Their journeys remind us that when women gain access to opportunity and education, the impact reaches far beyond borders. This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the power of education to unlock leadership, innovation, and lasting change. 💜 #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInLeadership #StudyAbroad #QSAfrica #IWD2026
One week at the United Nations Headquarters for the commission on the status of women has been informative and inspiring. Here is a recap of how my week went. I anticipate what the coming week has for me!! #education #csw #sunday #un #fyp
Happy International; Women's Day! 👭🏽 🌍️ ✨️ At MINDS, we believe Africa’s future depends on the full participation and leadership of women across every sector from governance and policy to science, business, and development. Through the MINDS Scholarship Programme, we are proud to support women who are not only excelling academically, but also shaping institutions and driving impact across the continent. Today, we celebrate 57 active female alumni and 24 current female scholars who are advancing inclusive leadership and Pan-African collaboration. These women represent more than numbers — they represent resilience, excellence, and the transformative power of opportunity. By studying in African countries beyond their own, they broaden perspectives, build cross-border networks, and strengthen a shared commitment to Africa’s unity and prosperity. This International Women’s Day, we reaffirm our commitment to nurturing ethical, confident, and impact-driven women leaders because when women lead, Africa moves forward. #InternationalWomensDay #MINDSAfrica #WomenInLeadership #PanAfricanLeadership #AccelerateAction
💔🇺🇳 I stood at the United Nations this week to ask one question: Why are we letting the potential of 129 million girls slip through our fingers? 🌍 These aren’t just statistics. They are the doctors, leaders, and change-makers the world is missing because they are being denied a seat in the classroom. Watch until the end to hear why this isn’t just about education, it’s about justice, dignity, and the future of our global community. We can’t afford to lose their voices. We can’t afford to lose their dreams. Help me amplify their story: ✅ WATCH to the end. ✅ SAVE to support the cause. ✅ SHARE/REPOST to make sure these girls are never invisible again. #education #girls #csw #un #fypシ
Another day, another step toward empowering young minds. ✨ Educate Women Africa recently visited Xhentse and Dumezweni S.S.S where we had the privilege of handing out more pencil cases to learners. What may seem like a small item can make a meaningful difference in a learner’s daily school experience, helping them stay organised, confident, and motivated to learn. Seeing the smiles and excitement reminds us why this initiative matters. Every pencil case is a reminder that these learners are seen, supported, and encouraged to pursue their education with confidence. Thank you to our volunteer @ngcai_sisipho_ndamase for continuing to support the mission of Educate Women Africa. Together, we are equipping the next generation, one learner at a time.🌍📚💜 #EducateWomenAfrica #EducationMatters #EmpowerThroughEducation #CommunityImpact #sdg4qualityeducation
I was delighted to facilitate an inspiring conversation on Building the Next Generation of Female Leaders: Empowering Girls in STEM and Public Decision-Making at a special side-event hosted by @helplinesocialsupportinit on the margins of the 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women #CSW70 ongoing in New York. The session fielded powerful interventions by an array of speakers including Mrs. Ahunna Eziakonwa, Assistant Secretary-General, United Nations & Director, UNDP Regional Bureau for Africa.
