African Youths for Sustainable Development visited Delta State University for an engaging campus tour and an important conversation with students about their civic rights. It was more than just a visit — it was an opportunity to empower young people with the knowledge they need to understand their rights, their responsibilities, and the power of their voices in society. When students are informed, they become confident citizens who can participate actively and shape the future of their communities. At African Youths for Sustainable Development, we remain committed to educating, empowering, and inspiring the next generation to know their rights and use their voices for positive change. ✨ A.Y.S.D is here for a change

Great Nigerian Students, I write to you today with a deep sense of responsibility and unity, calling on us all to reflect on the future of our great association. Leadership is not just about occupying a position, but about service, vision, and proven capacity. In this critical moment, I humbly present to you our dear brother and comrade, Taiwo Owolewa, for the position of General National Secretary of NANS. He is not a stranger to service—he has demonstrated competence, commitment, and an unwavering passion for the growth and welfare of Nigerian students. Comrade Taiwo Owolewa is a visionary leader, one who understands the struggles of the common student and has consistently shown readiness to stand for what is right. His track record speaks, his dedication is evident, and his ability to deliver is unquestionable. As we move forward, let us choose continuity, experience, and progress. Let us choose a leader who has done it before and is ready to do even more. I therefore urge every comrade, every stakeholder, and every well-meaning Nigerian student to stand up and be counted. Abuja straight! Vote Comrade Taiwo Owolewa for General National Secretary, NANS. Together, we move forward. Aluta Continua, Victoria Ascerta!
Abraham Oreoluwa Isaac is my name , a youth development advocate, student leader, SDGs advocate and policy-minded thinker committed to shaping solutions that outlive complaints. This is my Stage 2 entry, where I share my perspective on how young people in Lagos can move from complaints to constructive action. I believe real change begins when we stop waiting and start building through responsibility, collaboration, and leadership at every level. The future of Lagos will not be defined by what we criticize, but by what we create. Thank you. #lydi #lagosmysd #nycnlagos #sasalagosproject @lydinstitute_

The great aim of education is not knowledge, but action. 📚 Knowledge is the foundation, but it’s what we do with that knowledge that changes lives. We believe in equipping the next generation not just with textbooks, but with the tools to take bold action in their communities. Seeing the bright faces at N.U.D Primary School, Agbado, reminds us why this work matters. Every lesson learned is a step toward a better future for the younger generation. Reading 120 stories from survivors of conflict-related GBV is not something you easily move on from. Our Strategy and Programs Officer, Edidiong Inyang - @edi.inyang, shares her reflection from our work in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe States. Today, on the International Day for the Right to the Truth concerning victims of gross human rights violations, we are reminded that truth is more than documentation. It is about acknowledging what survivors went through and ensuring their right to justice is not ignored. Because without truth, justice is delayed, and healing is incomplete. Come April 14, our Fuskanta Exhibition will spotlight the stories behind the data. 📎Register to attend here: https://invictusafrica.org/ #theautjpproject #genderjustice #transitionaljustice #northeastnigeria
