We had the opportunity to deliver remarkable news to a couple from Germany.
The male partner, diagnosed with azoospermia due to a complete AZFc Y-chromosome microdeletion, had previously undergone conventional TESE without sperm retrieval. A subsequent microTESE procedure performed in Germany yielded a limited number of spermatozoa; however, embryo development was suboptimal. Following a course of medical treatment at our center, spermatozoa were successfully identified in the ejaculate, thus obviating the need for repeat surgical sperm retrieval. This unexpected outcome brought great satisfaction to both the clinical team and the couple, who considered it a significant and hopeful development.
