Did you know that I wrote a children’s book? 🥰 In honor of Book Week, I’m celebrating something very special to me 🤍
I wrote Sarai’s Culture Day to help children feel proud of who they are and where they come from. Culture, identity and confidence start young and representation matters.
Seeing kids read this book and connect with it means everything to me.
If you have little ones, this story is for them. ✨

As 2026 Quarter 1 winds down, I have this to say ☝️
You probably recall that I was on Radio twice this quarter, advocating for literacy.
As the year continues, thank YOU in advance, for your contribution through books, to the improvement of our dear nation, Nigeria.

As an illustrator, the rich detail and vibrancy in this book by @alabaonajin gives me so much joy. There’s also a nostalgic pull. It reminds me of the kinds of storybooks I grew up reading as a kid.
And as a storyteller, it aligns with where I am professionally. We need more African stories out there. More stories that reflect our realities, our environments, and the joy of African childhood.
This is the kind of book any child would love, no matter where they’re from. There’s adventure, there’s mystery, there’s curiosity. It’s the kind of story that sparks imagination.
Books like Korobá remind us why stories like this matter, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Today we celebrate the magic of children’s books… 🤎📚
Stories are more than pages — they are mirrors, windows, and doors.
They help our children see themselves, understand others, and imagine new worlds.
On International Children’s Book Day, we’re reminded that every child deserves stories that reflect their language, their culture, and their identity.
At Mebala Creative Kids, we’re not just raising readers…
we’re raising children who feel seen, heard, and proud of who they are 💛
Whether it’s one book, one page, or one story a day — it all counts.
Let’s keep reading, learning, and growing… together 🌿

Thank you for reading and sharing A Father's Love and other stories with your children. Also, feel free to visit her page as she also shares meaningful information for young children as well🫶🏽!@ms_zitasclassroom
Representation isn’t a trend, it’s a foundation 🤎
Our children deserve stories written by African authors. Stories that reflect their skin, their culture, their names, their brilliance.
What we put on their bookshelf shapes how they see themselves 🌍✨
Let’s raise confident, proud African children starting with the stories we choose.

Look closely…
This is more than just a book 📚.
It is a bridge between generations.
A tool for intentional parents.
A small but powerful way to keep our language alive in our children.
Every page is an opportunity.
Every word is a connection.
Every lesson is a step toward identity.
One day, your child will confidently say,
“I CAN SPEAK HAUSA.”
"I CAN SPEAK IGBO"
"I CAN SPEAK YORUBA"
And it will start with moments like this.
