I’m having the wonderful privilege of testing the @sewnwithgrit #swgSeasonsSkort . This is view A (there are 3 views) and I plan to make view B today (view B is the same length as this one but it has a slit above one of my thighs). I’ve been wearing this skort nonstop since sewing it up and I see many more of these skorts in my future. I don’t know how @sewnwithgrit has so many brilliant ideas but every one of her patterns is 🔥. The top I’m wearing is the @sa_sews #adelphitop . I’m obsessed with it and will need to make another post about it specifically.

my (third!!) pair of helios trousers hot off the machine on this very gloomy day! styled up for day 4, MAD FOR PLAID, of the #wawnovemberchallenge - and yes i used gingham not plaid whatever okay?? there’s plaid on the jacket lining! #iiheliostrouser by @indigoindigo.no in white poplin, size 3 (sized up for more volume!) these are inspired by @caitsnyd_sews incredible white skirt-like pants that have been living in my head rent free since i laid eyes on them. #adelphitop by @sa_sews @llbean shirt my favorite hand me down denim jacket gifted to me by my uncle jimmy 🫶🏼 #memadewardrobe #sewistsofinstagram

The Andi skirt from @the.ordinaryfolk is here! I had the absolute pleasure of pattern testing this beauty and today is finally its release date. Andi is perfectly voluminous with two views and two different waistbands. Featuring top stitched French seams, sizeable pockets and a large feature hem, this is a great skirt to lightly challenge beginners and a wonderful wardrobe staple for everyone! This Andi was made with a mid weight cotton drill grabbed second hand from @thesewinglair. The heavier fabric is what gives it that lovely volume! Here’s me keeping myself accountable to the environment I desire to sew in and to not NEEDING to finish a project asap. It’s easy to get caught up thinking you have lots on your plate, you need to pump through projects, you want to wear something tomorrow, etc etc. but in reality I don’t NEED any new garment now. I am always so much more satisfied with the result of a project when I’ve slowly sewn and not felt rushed in the process. I feel so much prouder of my project and enjoy wearing it far more. I’ll definitely share more of the finish #adelphitop by @sa_sews when it’s completed. I’m already obsessed! 🌸

aaaaand back to regularly scheduled programming! this set was the last thing i finished sewing before leaving LA at the beginning of July. since then its been summer shenanigans and moving to my new home. finally getting settled, sewing again, and documenting my makes that the internet has yet to see! so why not start with my very favorite?? the #adelphitop by @sa_sews the #coetrousers by @daughterjudypatterns i’m obsessed with this denim set, made from a 25yd roll of denim i scored on FB marketplace in LA for $20 🤯 top stitched with shiny royal blue thread. 🧵 my second adelphi top, and my first pair of coe trousers. both these patterns are absolute tops and i look forward to many more iterations.💙
