If you’re an @rei Co-op Member, you know this is one of the best times of the year because your annual Member Rewards just dropped (that 10% back from last year’s eligible purchases 🙌🏼).
I’m already putting mine toward restocking my camping essentials and a few spring upgrades I’ve had my eyes on. Fresh gear always gets me excited for the season ahead. Earning rewards doing what you already love, then reinvesting them into your next adventure?
An REI Co-op Membership truly feels like a community that supports your time outside!🌲 #REIPartner

I can maximize my savings by combining my Member Rewards with sales and my 20% off Member Coupon for one full price item, so it’s a great time to pick up the gear I’ll be using all year long. (The Member Coupon runs 3/13 through 3/23!)
My goal is to spend as many nights camping this year as possible, so it was fun to pick up a few things to enhance that experience. I’m all about “glamping” 🙌🏼

Total noob who wanted to impress his girl. Here’s part 2 of what I’ve learned:
Gear I’ve relied on:
Clothes: Got everything at Ross & CostCo, it’s held up so far even in the low 20s
Shoes: I rely on @adidasterrex which I got thru Amazon. They’ve gotten me through all kinds of weather reliably and comfortably plus they got Continental tires on the soles. I can’t recommend them enough
Trekking Poles: Great to relief pressure off the joints. I’ve used the Underwood Aggregator Collapsible Trekking Poles reliably for the past 5 months in dirt, mud and some light to medium snow
Sleeping Bag: I got mine off Amazon, Serene Life Double Sleeping Bag. It kept us warm in the car even in late October at Sequoia
Axe: I love my @fiskars x25 splitting axe which I’ve used to chop wood effortlessly even with my arms 😂
Coffee: I love a nice espresso and she does too so I went with something reliable. I got an @imusausa 1-cup aluminum coffee maker
Cookware: I have an Ozark Trail 2 burner stove. I also got this cool kit off Amazon from Odoland that brings two small pots, a cup, single person utensils and a little burner. I got a skillet, knives and cooking utensils from Ross.
Safety items: I carry a bag of medicine for headaches, stomach issues, pain, nausea, allergies and cold/flu along with a first aid kit (bandages, gauze, tape, wound cleaner), bear horn/spray, headlamps (preferably with a red light mode too) and antibacterial gel
Hygiene: Showers might be impossible while camping so it’s good to have hygienic wipes. We also pack tooth paste, toilet paper and paper towels. Those portable shower kits are pretty awesome if you can figure out a way to also make a private outdoor shower in a pinch
Water: Carry plenty. You can always save what you don’t use but it can be hard to get water in some places
Equipment: We have a car air pump, battery powered flash lights & lanterns, power banks, lighter and basic tools for setting up the tent
Items on my list to get before camping again are a quiet generator, portable shower with privacy, roof rack storage bin and adding Starlink #hiking #camping #california #officelife #roadtrip
Small space 🫱🏼🫲🏽 LOTS of outdoor gear? I got you! (AD) 🏕️🎒
@rei Member Days are happening March 13th through 23rd, which means it’s a GREAT time to stock up on gear that will help you get organized for the season ahead! REI Co-op Members can score major savings AND get 20% off one full-priced item. 🧡
See below for my favorite outdoor gear storage hacks and tips for small spaces! ⤵️
📦 Store down items in soft, breathable storage bins. Down shouldn’t be compressed when in storage, so we use REI’s Trailgate Gear Bins for storing sleeping bags and puffy winter layers.
🚲 Go vertical with bike storage. My FAVORITE small-space hack is a GRAVITY bike stand. It barely takes up any room and instantly frees up floor space! We’ve owned our gravity bike rack for over 5 years and LOVE it.
🥘 Prioritize storage bins with clear lids. The clear and mesh lids make it easy to see what’s inside without digging through everything!
🏷 Label everything with painter’s tape! Painter’s tape is easy to remove without leaving residue and it’s inexpensive, making it perfect for labeling your outdoor gear storage bins.
If you’ve been meaning to organize your gear, this is your sign…. SEND this to a friend to give them the hint to organize their stuff! 👀
REI is celebrating their March Member Moment all month long with new spring product launches and special member-only offers, making this a great time for Members to redeem their Annual Rewards!

They warned us about drugs in school…
but nobody mentioned the gateway drug was outdoor hobbies.
It starts with skiing.
Then backpacking.
Then water sports.
Then climbing.
Next thing you know your garage looks like an outdoor gear shop… and gear isn’t cheap.
Add in a few kids and you have yourself a whole store!
That’s why I repair what I can instead of replacing it. A small tear or worn spot doesn’t mean gear is done — and Gear Aid has saved a lot of my gear over the years.
More adventures.
Less waste.
More money for the next trip.
Save this for when your gear needs a little love. @gearaid #gearaid #careforadventure #sustainability #lessinlandfills
Sam shares her thoughts on the REI Sahara pants, highlighting their incredible convenience. She loves being able to go from full-length pants to shorts while hiking, making them the best hiking pants for adaptability. These zip-off pants are a total game-changer for any outdoor adventure. These quick-dry pants are awesome while hiking.
