there was a lot of skepticism in the last video about cost but this structure is up with only 5 lbs of the 75 Hawaiian mortar or $150 of cement so far!! They still gotta spray more tho! Hajar invented aircrete and while they are beautiful amazing domes there is still issues with cost, labor and waste of materials and his new style of building addresses the issue that is the immense amount of labor that alternative building requires. I don’t think he has coined a name for it tho, so far “fabricrete” has been thrown around anyone else have any suggestions? @thehajjargibran @sir_cobalot

AIRCRETE = The best next thing to sliced bread!? This product eliminates the entire traditional wall assembly; studs, sheathing, gyp board, insulation, air barrier, sound proofing, and replaces it with one genius block!! aircrete is cool and building is fun!!! Part of the societal collapse brought us to a place where we can feel secure. Which for us means food and shelter security. Aircrete just makes immensely more sense than building with traditional materials for many reason including traditional toxicity in regular materials, cost barriers, matience costs, heating/cooling/ energy effectiveness.. the list goes on. As we enjoy this slurry and snowy day I am looking back at the process we have made since mid September when we started. It’s amazing to see! This reel just includes our progress for the month of October. We have 3 walls to put up, the windows, and the electric to run which all feels like a cake walk compared to digging & pouring the footer, digging water line trenches, and then what is pictured here- the construction of the dome brick by brick 🧱 So much beauty and fulfillment in doing it yourself. This structure is 20” circle with a half loft to be added… over 600sq ft of living space. We are building it on our property, but this one will be a sweet spot to offer for another person joining us on the farm! Our home will be built soon enough. Aircrete is very forgiving and easy to work with! It’s lightweight, hardens quickly and can be cut, shaped, drilled, and nailed like wood using simple tools, making it great for DIY projects like our Aircrete bungalows 💛 #aircrete #alternativebuilding #ecobuild #domes #cambodia
