Former NFL star Andre Rison is serving time in Oakland County Jail after pleading guilty in a second-offense OWI case in Michigan. Court records show Rison was booked on Friday and is expected to be released Sunday after serving part of a five-day sentence handed down earlier this week. The former Pro Bowl wide receiver pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated in connection with an August 2025 incident in Troy, Michigan. As part of his sentence, he was also ordered to complete 18 months of probation and pay more than $2,300 in fines and court costs. An additional charge of open intoxication in a motor vehicle was dismissed. Rison initially posted a $5,000 bond while the case moved through the courts. Neither he nor his attorney has publicly commented on the sentencing. On the field, Rison was one of the most productive receivers of the 1990s. Nicknamed “Bad Moon,” he played 12 seasons in the NFL and suited up for seven franchises, including the Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, and Indianapolis Colts. He finished his career with over 10,000 receiving yards, 80+ touchdowns, and five Pro Bowl selections. He also won a Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers during the 1996 season. Off the field, Rison also became a pop culture figure due to his high-profile relationship with TLC member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, which made national headlines in the 1990s. Now 59, Rison has occasionally appeared at NFL alumni events in recent years and remains a well-known name among football fans. #AndreRison #NFL #industryonblast
