Honestly some of the friendliest locals I’ve met in Greece.
Andros feels different from the typical Cycladic islands.
It’s just 2 hours from Athens, but way less crowded.
✨ The Batsi side has beautiful beaches without the chaos
✨ The Chora side is surprisingly green, something you rarely see in the Cyclades
✨ And there are hundreds of kilometers of hiking trails
It’s the perfect island if you want a mix of beach, nature and slow travel.
It’s not about hopping from village to village like on other islands. It’s about relaxing, hiking, swimming and eating really well.
Give it 5 days to a week, and you’ll get it.

Andros island Greece feels like the Greece people went to 20 years ago. Empty beaches, clear blue water, proper local tavernas and barely any crowds. If you’re searching for a hidden Greek island that isn’t overrun, this is honestly one of the best things to do in Greece right now.
We hired a little car, beach hopped all day and found quiet coves where it was just us and the sound of the sea. It’s green, it’s peaceful and it feels so authentic. Κοπιάστε στην κουζίνα του ήλιου ,του αέρα,της πέτρας και της θάλασσας,στην κουζίνα των Κυκλάδων.
Οι ξεροληθιές ,οι αμέτρητοι ξυλόφουρνοι ,οι άγονες πεζούλες που μετατράπηκαν σε καλλιεργήσιμη γη εξ ανάγκης,τα αμπέλια και τα παραδοσιακά πατητήρια,τα ρακοκάζανα με τις παρέες ,οι πυρομένες πυροστιές με τους μεζέδες ,τα πολυάριθμα πανηγύρια που έχουν ψυχή και ζωντάνια και διοργανώνονται από την νεολαία των νησιών μας ,αυτά όλα και άλλα πολλά συνθέτουν την κουζίνα του Αιγαίου.
Ταξιδέψαμε νησί νησί στα κυκλαδονήσια τους τελευταίους μήνες.
Δοκιμάσαμε και καταγράψαμε συνταγές ,προϊόντα,ιστορίες και τους περήφανους νησιώτες που κρατούν γερά την γεύση του τόπου τους.
