Apple season is in full swing, and there’s nothing I love more than a homemade caramel apple. The secret to getting the caramel to stick to the apple is to quickly boil your apples in water first. 🍎 A quick dunk in boiling water takes off the waxy coating on store-bought apples, so the caramel grabs on instead of sliding off. With some toffee bits on the bottom, these are a truly delicious fall treat! Caramel Apples (makes 8) 🍎 8 large tart apples
🥢 8 wooden chopsticks or sticks
🤎 2 cups packed brown sugar
🥛 1 can (300 mL / 14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
🍯 1 cup light corn syrup
🧈 1 cup butter
✨ 2 tsp vanilla extract
🍬 Toffee bits for the bottoms (optional, but highly recommended) 1️⃣ Dip the apples in boiling water for a few seconds to remove the wax. Dry well and let cool.
2️⃣ Push a stick into the bottom of each apple, and line a baking sheet with parchment.
3️⃣ In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, stir together the brown sugar, condensed milk, corn syrup and butter.
4️⃣ Bring to a boil, then turn down to medium. Keep stirring constantly until it reaches 248°F (120°C) on a candy thermometer, about 25–30 minutes.
5️⃣ Take it off the heat and stir in the vanilla.
6️⃣ Working quickly, dip and twist each apple to coat, letting the extra drip off.
7️⃣ Roll the bottoms in toffee bits while the caramel is still warm, then set them on the parchment to firm up. So prefect for a fall weekend! 🍂 #caramelapples #fallbaking #homemadecaramel #fallrecipes #applerecipes
The BEST apple cake you’ll ever make! 🍎✨ My Grandma Peggy passed down hundreds of her recipes to me, and this apple cake is one of her very best. Made with grated Granny Smith apples, fresh orange juice, walnuts, sweetened coconut, and a buttery buttermilk glaze, it’s the perfect apple cake! Save this recipe - and sign up to get them in your email (link in bio!) INGREDIENTS: Cake: 3 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1¼ tsp ground cinnamon (divided), 2 cups granulated sugar, 3 large eggs (room temp), 1¼ cups vegetable oil, 1 tsp vanilla, ¼ cup freshly squeezed orange juice (about 1 medium orange), 2 cups grated unpeeled Granny Smith apples (about 2 large apples), 1 cup chopped walnuts, 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut, 1 tbsp confectioners’ sugar (for dusting). Buttermilk Glaze: 1 cup granulated sugar, 8 tbsp salted butter, ½ tsp baking soda, ½ cup buttermilk. DIRECTIONS: Preheat the oven to 325°F. Grease and flour a standard Bundt pan. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of the cinnamon. In the bowl of electric mixer fitted with paddle, beat the sugar, eggs, oil, vanilla, and orange juice until combined. With mixer on low, add dry ingredients just until incorporated. Fold in apples, walnuts, and coconut, then spoon batter into prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 1 hour 15-20 min, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 15 min, then invert onto wire rack set over baking sheet. Puncture the top all over with a skewer to create deep holes for the glaze to soak into. For the glaze, combine the sugar, butter, baking soda, and buttermilk in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil, about 4-5 min. It should be foamy and begin to turn light brown. Pour the hot glaze over the warm cake. If desired, combine the confectioners’ sugar with the remaining ¼ teaspoon cinnamon and dust over the top. Let cake rest for at least 1 hr before serving. #applecake #cakerecipe #bundtcake #dessertrecipe #thebuckheadbaker

This apple dessert deserves a spot on your fall baking list 🍎 A buttery sour-cream crust, lots of thinly sliced apples and a creamy vanilla custard baked until golden. It looks like a fancy bakery dessert, but the recipe is actually incredibly simple. Save this recipe for your next apple baking day 🤎 APPLE SOUR CREAM TART For the crust: * 190 g all-purpose flour * 100 g unsalted butter, melted * 125 g sour cream * 1½ tsp baking powder * 1 tbsp sugar * Pinch of salt For the filling: * 5 small apples For the custard: * 2 large eggs * 190 g sour cream * 190 g sugar * 1½ tbsp all-purpose flour * Pinch of salt * Vanilla, to taste How to make it: Melt the butter and mix with the remaining crust ingredients. Place the dough in a bag and refrigerate for 30–40 minutes. Slice the apples and set aside. Roll out the dough and transfer it to your baking pan. Arrange the apples on top and pour over the custard. Bake at 350°F / 180°C for about 50 minutes, until golden and set. Let it cool completely before slicing. Save this recipe 🍎 and follow me for more easy homemade recipes made for real life.

Smooth, creamy, and melts in your mouth. ・Just blend & bake ・No-fail recipe ・Beginner-friendly —— Ingredients (1 loaf, 21.5 x 11cm) —— 1 apple (160g before peeling) 250g cream cheese (room temperature) 80g yoghurt 2 eggs 200ml cream 60g sugar 20g (2 tbsp) cornstarch 2g (1 tsp) cinnamon 15g (1 tbsp) lemon juice ——— Steps ——— 1️⃣ Preheat oven to 170℃ / 338℉ 2️⃣ Add all ingredients to a blender or mixer → blend until completely smooth. 3️⃣ Pour into a lined loaf pan → water-bath bake at 160℃ / 320℉ for 70 mins. 4️⃣ Let it cool → cover and chill in the fridge (overnight is best!). Enjoy ☺︎ ——— Tip ——— The apple was 130-140g after peeling🍎 If you don’t have a blender, or if your blender can’t blend the apple finely enough, grate the apple first instead. For an even smoother texture, gently swirl the mixture with a chopstick to remove any large air bubbles before baking. For the smoothest, creamiest texture, use hot water for the water bath (about 60℃). I make it by mixing 1L boiling water + 1L tap water. ——————————— I share recipes that make people happy through food 🍙 I’d be so happy if you follow me ☺️🫶 Anna @eat_with.anna
Brown Butter Apple Fritter Focaccia 🍎 One of the most popular recipes I shared last year and I’m sharing it again this year because…‘Tis the season! Let me know if you’d like me to repost the full step-by-step vid tomorrow and I will. To make it: Prepare a batch of same-day focaccia dough (recipe/tutorial is page 22 in my cookbook, in my Focaccia Fundamentals Guide or pinned to the top of my page here). Follow the recipe instructions up until it’s time to tip the dough into the tray. While the dough is proofing, make the cinnamon sugar butter filling. Filling: 1/2 cup (115g) salted butter, browned* 1/2 cup (100g) light brown sugar 1.5 Tablespoons ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract 2-3 apples, peeled and finely diced (you’ll mix these in in two phases) *You can use regular butter without browning it first but you’ll get more complex caramel notes in the filling if you brown the butter first! It’s worth the extra effort. See comments for how to! Mix the browned butter with the brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Set aside. When the dough has finished proofing, line the parchment on the tray with 2 tbsp melted salted butter instead of olive oil. Transfer the dough to the tray (9x13 inch) and gently stretch the dough to edges. Mix 1/3 of the diced apples with half of the cinnamon filling, spread over the dough and fold up as seen in this video. Flip the dough over and cover to finish proofing at room temp for 1-1.5 hours. Preheat oven to 215C/420F, place rack in lowest position. You’ll need to warm up the cinnamon sugar butter to make it drizzling consistency again (it hardens as it cools). Mix with the remaining 2/3 diced apples, spread over the top of dough evenly and dimple in. Bake for 23-25 minutes. While it bakes, whisk up the glaze: 125g (1 cup) powdered sugar 2-3 Tbsp milk Dash vanilla extract Sprinkle of cinnamon Drizzle over the focaccia once it’s out of oven, brush on top, sides and bottom (I do this by rubbing the bottom in tray that’s been brushed with the glaze). Transfer to cooling rack for glaze to harden (about 15 mins!). #focaccia #applefritter #foodporn #breadmaking
