For nearly a century, Arizona Inn has remained one of Tucson’s most treasured landmarks. Founded in 1930 by Isabella Greenway, Arizona’s first congresswoman, the Inn was created with purpose during the Great Depression, offering meaningful work and opportunity to disabled World War I veterans while building a retreat unlike anywhere else in the Sonoran Desert. Over the decades, Arizona Inn became woven into the story of Tucson, known for its warmth, elegance, and unmistakable desert charm. Today, its pink adobe walls, historic courtyards, and timeless atmosphere continue to welcome generations of guests while embracing a new era of hospitality. From afternoons beside the iconic striped pool loungers and clay tennis courts to gathering in the Fireside Library, Audubon Bar & Patio, or Main Dining Room, every detail honors the past while creating space for modern leisure and connection. 2200 E Elm St, Tucson, AZ 85719 #arizonainn #tucsonarizona #historichotels #luxurytravel #visittucson

If you’ve ever driven through midtown Tucson, you’ve probably seen the bright pink walls of the Arizona Inn. But you might not know the story behind it — or that it just picked up a major national title. 🌵🏨 On June 2nd, the Inn was officially inducted into Historic Hotels of America. It’s one of only three properties in the Tucson area to make the list. The Inn was built in 1930 by Isabella Greenway, who later became Arizona’s first congresswoman. She originally built it to create demand for furniture so she could keep a workshop of World War I veterans employed during the Depression. Today, it sits on 14 acres right in the middle of the Blenman-Elm neighborhood, which is one of Tucson’s most sought-after historic districts. Want to know more about the Inn or the historic midtown neighborhoods around it? Link in bio for the full breakdown! 👇 #TucsonRealEstate #ArizonaInn #TucsonHistory #MidtownTucson #BlenmanElm
