These important virtual and in-person fundraisers support the impactful exhibitions, community-building programs, and exciting art-experiences that serve thousands of children, families, and adults each year. But the season would not be successful without the hundreds of artists who participate by submitting artwork to the auctions. From ArtCenter to Amazon! Congrats to Interaction Design students Jihyun Park and Keller Wang, who are spending the summer as UX Design interns at Amazon’s Seattle headquarters. They are working on teams designing products used by millions of people. Both are still undergrads. Internships like these are where the classroom meets the real thing. Students ship work that reaches actual users, learn how design teams operate, build a professional network, graduate with a portfolio that already shows industry experience, and spend time exploring new places! That doesn‘t happen by accident. The Interaction Design program at ArtCenter prepares students for exactly these opportunities, with a curriculum built around real projects, industry mentorship, and the skills companies are hiring for right now. Interaction Design students get recruited early. Companies like Amazon visit the school regularly to meet students and review portfolios. From California to Hangzhou, Elisabeth is studying traditional Chinese painting at the #ChinaAcademyofArt. With a background in fashion design, art history, and theatre design, she has explored a wide range of creative disciplines. Her journey into Chinese art began with a project at K11 in Hong Kong, where she was first introduced to traditional Chinese painting and art costumes. The experience stayed with her and eventually inspired her to come to #CAA.
