One of our fav spots in Canberra to take the kids has to be the Tim and Gina Fairfax Discovery Centre at the @nationalmuseumofaustralia. It’s colourful, calm, clever and clean and inside you’ll find a fun mix of climbing, building, storytelling and dress-ups that keeps the kiddos happy for ages. Even the walk through the Museum to get there is part of the adventure, with plenty for kids to spot along the way. Mum tip: Sessions are timed and can book out quickly, so it’s worth planning ahead!

4 days in Adelaide and we are making every second count! ⏳💨 We decided to fit the entire cultural precinct into one Saturday, hitting the Art Gallery and the Library before spending the afternoon at the South Australian Museum. 🏛️ From the massive whale skeletons to the fascinating Egyptian gallery and the new Palaeozoic fossils, this place is endless. Is it just mine, or are all kids obsessed with interactive museums?? 🙌🏽 Because my kids were in heaven… and honestly, so were we! Interactive exhibits, hands-on games, glowing light displays, and mazes that kept everyone entertained the whole time. We parked for free at Broadway and walked over... so easy! It's also super close to Central Station if you want to take public transport. You could even make a full city outing of it and combine it with dinner at Spice Alley afterwards 🍜✨ The kids’ favourite? The maze challenge where they had to find all the hidden pictures to win a little prize 🎁 And of course the museum shop was a must-stop too. They’ll be changing up some of the exhibits soon, so be sure to check it out while it’s fresh! 📍 Mind Games: Art Alive!
