Not the most complex, but by far the most bulky and heavy plush I've made!! . . . #plushmaking #plushiemaking #pokemon #azumarill #plush #plushie #handmade

What if I told you there's a Pokemon that was once the most hyped creature in the entire franchise... until people actually met it? Before Pokemon Gold and Silver came out, fans saw a mysterious blue mouse in Japanese promotional material. They didn't know its name. They didn't know what it was. So they called it Pikablu. And they believed it was legendary. Kids made up elaborate rituals to catch it. They swore you could get it by beating the Elite Four five times, or finding a secret cave, or using a Water Stone on Raichu. Then the games came out. And Pikablu turned out to be Marill. Not a legendary. Not connected to Pikachu at all. Just a regular Water-type you find in a cave. And the disappointment was so crushing that one source said Marill "suddenly lost all its popularity because it was not rare or powerful." Think about that.. Marill did nothing wrong. It showed up exactly as it was designed to be. But because it wasn't what people imagined, they decided it wasn't enough. Its tail is literally designed as a life preserver. It keeps Marill from drowning even in the strongest currents. But it couldn't save Marill from drowning in everyone's expectations. ⬇️ Question: Have you ever shown up as exactly who you are, only to watch people's faces fall because you weren't what they imagined? Tell me in the comments. Follow @mydailypokemon for more daily stories about Pokemon who were never given a fair chance.

Easter eggs with Huge Power 🥚💙 Yes I know this doesn't make actual sense, but Azumarill already looks egg-shaped to me so let's just say it was in disguise as an egg instead of hatching 😌 Just don't Play Rough with them or they might melt really fast like this one did (forgive the shoddy footage I tried to wash chocolate off its face as best I could 🥲) Watch to the end for a bonus belly drum with Marill! #pokemon #hotchocolatebomb #azumarill #マリルリ #marill
