The comic book industry is at its best when it reflects the world it claims to protect. For decades, the industry operated within a narrow perspective. The shift toward diverse creators is not a trend but a necessary evolution of the craft. True innovation comes from voices that have been historically excluded. When diverse voices take the lead on legacy titles or build new worlds from scratch, they bring culture and nuance that the medium has lacked for too long.
