Esse é um dos pontos turísticos mais interessantes e famosos de Évora.
A capela dos Ossos fica dentro da Igreja São Francisco e foi construída no século XVII por três monges que queriam transmitir a ideia de que “alguma hora, a morte irá chegar”.
A placa na capela explica isso: “Nós, ossos que aqui estamos, pelos vossos esperamos”. As paredes são literalmente “decoradas” com ossos e crânios humanos.

IGREJA DE SÃO FRANCISCO - ÉVORA
A Igreja de São Francisco foi construída entre 1480 e 1510 seguindo a arquitetura gótico-manuelina.
Sua decoração está totalmente ligada aos períodos de descobrimentos e expansões marítimas portuguesas. O convento de São
Francisco foi a primeira casa da Ordem Franciscana em Portugal, fundada no século XII.
Dentre as várias capelas que a igreja possui, a mais visitada e conhecida é a Capela dos Ossos, um dos principais pontos turísticos de Évora que citamos.

TEMPLO ROMANO EM ÉVORA
É no centro histórico da cidade que ficam todos os monumentos importantes, conventos, igrejas, termas romanas e praças mais antigas. Ou seja, é onde estão todos os pontos turísticos de Évora, bem como seus bares, restaurantes e ruas comerciais.
Templo Romano de Évora (antigo Templo de Diana) é o ponto principal do centro histórico da cidade, o qual foi considerado Patrimônio Mundial pela UNESCO em 1986. É um monumento muito importante e que marca a presença romana no território português, sendo a sua construção, em estilo coríntio, datada do séc. I d.C. O templo é um exemplo da arquitectura religiosa do período romano, de forma retangular.
A denominação de Templo de Diana manteve-se até às décadas de 1980 e 1990, quando foi descoberto que o templo tinha sido dedicado ao imperador Augusto.
