Do you think something coherent will come out of this?
At a time of growing geopolitical tensions and a rapidly changing world order, BRICS has chosen consensus, cooperation and a stronger voice for the Global South.
From reforming global institutions to strengthening economic cooperation, opposing unilateral trade measures and calling for dialogue over conflict — New Delhi has put a clear message on the table:
The Global South is no longer waiting to be heard. It is helping shape the future. 🌍
And India, from the heart of New Delhi, is leading that conversation. 🇮🇳

Putin entered full “roasting mode” while addressing the BRICS Business Summit, highlighting the bloc’s growing economic weight on the global stage.
He pointed out that BRICS countries now account for around 40% of global GDP, compared with the G7’s roughly 29%, presenting a sharp contrast in economic influence.
The message was clear: the global economic balance is shifting, and emerging economies are demanding a bigger role in shaping the international order.
With India, China, Russia, Brazil, South Africa and other BRICS members sitting at the center of this transformation, the bloc is becoming an increasingly important force in global affairs.
The comparison also reflects the broader BRICS push for greater economic cooperation, trade, investment and a more multipolar world economy.
Putin’s numbers may have delivered the punchline—but the bigger story is the changing distribution of global economic power. 🌍🔥

🌍 BRICS in India: A New Global Power Centre?
India is hosting the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi, bringing together major emerging powers including India, China and Russia. The presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping has put the summit under intense global attention.
BRICS has become a major force in the global economy. Prime Minister Modi highlighted that the grouping represents around 50% of the world’s population, 40% of global GDP and more than 25% of global trade.
That economic weight could have major consequences for global trade, energy security, financial cooperation and the future balance of power.
But the biggest question is not simply how powerful BRICS is—it is whether countries with different interests can actually work together.
With India trying to maintain strategic autonomy, China seeking a larger global role and Russia pushing for stronger cooperation among emerging economies, the Delhi summit could become an important moment in the evolving multipolar world order.
The world is watching India. 🇮🇳🌍

President Vladimir Putin arrived in India early Friday for a three-day visit to attend the BRICS leaders’ summit and deepen strategic ties with New Delhi.
On Friday afternoon, Putin met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bilateral talks focused on trade and energy.
Sources cited by Indian media said the two leaders would discuss expanding Russian-Indian trade to $100 billion by 2030, supported by increasing cooperation in rail transit, steel production, critical minerals, fertilizers and nuclear energy.
The Kremlin said earlier this week that the possible sale of Russian Sukhoi Su-57 stealth fighter jets to India is also on the agenda.
A delegation of more than 300 Russian executives is accompanying Putin to New Delhi to negotiate supply chains and food security contracts.
Putin is scheduled to give a speech at the BRICS business forum later on Friday. The main plenary session of the bloc’s leaders will take place on Saturday, followed by an expanded session the following day with partner states and international organizations.

We came a long way 😭
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday said greater economic activity and economic security within BRICS would contribute to greater self-reliance, while stressing the need to strengthen business ties, diversify commercial relationships and build resilient supply networks.
Addressing the BRICS Business Forum, Jaishankar said the common objective was to make it easier for businesses across member countries to find partners, access markets and connect supply networks.
“The common thread is how to make it easier for businesses in our countries to find more partners, access more markets, connect supply networks and convert complementarities into viable commercial partnerships. For BRICS particularly, higher economic activity and higher economic security mean greater self-reliance. The objective is to strengthen our ability to absorb shocks while remaining connected and competitive,” Jaishankar said.
Jaishankar said achieving this objective would require genuine market practices, reliable logistics and a predictable business environment, along with diversified commercial relationships and transparent trade and investment.
“That calls for genuine market practices, dependable logistics, a predictable business environment, diversified commercial relationships, and transparent trade and investment. It also calls for energy systems capable of coping with disruption and transition pathways that are suited to different national circumstances,” he added.
