I once heard a paradoxical idea from Buddhism: «If you meet the Buddha, kill the Buddha» It sounds shocking, but its meaning is actually quite simple: don’t look for ideals or ultimate answers in other people. Any teacher or role model is only a guide, not the truth itself.
In the presence of the Awakened One, fear fades and compassion embraces every living being. 🌿☸️ 💚Watch Interview with Green Tara now: https://youtube.com/@areyouthereguru💚🙏🌸 The Buddha taught that all beings seek peace, happiness, and freedom from suffering. This serene moment reminds us that when the heart is filled with loving-kindness (Mettā), harmony naturally arises between humans, animals, and nature. May this image inspire you to cultivate compassion, wisdom, and inner peace in your own life. 💛 “Hatred is never appeased by hatred. 📖 Arthur Schopenhauer (1788–1860) was a German philosopher best known for his pessimistic philosophy and his profound observations on human nature, desire, suffering, and happiness. Born in Danzig, he developed a deeply individualistic worldview influenced by Western philosophy as well as Indian philosophical traditions, particularly Buddhism and Hindu thought. His most important work, *The World as Will and Representation*, presented his central idea that human existence is driven by an endless, restless "will"—a force of desire that continually creates dissatisfaction and suffering. Schopenhauer believed that temporary happiness often comes from satisfying desires, but lasting peace requires reducing our attachment to them. Although largely overlooked during much of his early career, Schopenhauer gained recognition later in life and became highly influential. His ideas influenced thinkers, writers, psychologists, and artists including Friedrich Nietzsche, Sigmund Freud, Richard Wagner, and Carl Jung. Schopenhauer's philosophy remains relevant because he explored uncomfortable truths about loneliness, desire, relationships, ego, suffering, and the search for meaning with remarkable honesty. 🧠 "Life swings like a pendulum backward and forward between pain and boredom." His work reminds us that understanding ourselves may be one of the most difficult—and most valuable—journeys we can undertake. In Buddhism, Nibbāna (Nirvana) is the highest happiness because it is the complete end of suffering. It is the state where greed, hatred, and delusion are fully extinguished, so the mind is free from fear, craving, and attachment. The Buddha said: “Nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ” — “Nibbāna is the highest happiness.” This does not refer to ordinary pleasure, which is temporary and depends on conditions. Instead, Nibbāna is a lasting peace that comes from complete liberation from the cycle of birth, aging, sickness, and death (saṃsāra). It is the ultimate goal of Buddhist practice because it is unconditioned, timeless, and free from all suffering.

Shi Heng Yi (born in 1983) is a 35th-generation Shaolin master and the headmaster of the Shaolin Temple Europe, located in Germany. Born to refugee parents, he developed a profound dedication to traditional martial arts and Chan Buddhism from an early age. He effectively bridges ancient philosophical principles with contemporary living, dedicating his life to training the interaction between the human mind and body while widely sharing Shaolin culture and practices. In this video snippet, Master Shi Heng Yi shares a profound line-up from Buddhist teachings regarding the progressive nature of human awareness and behavioral patterns. He emphasizes the critical importance of self-mindfulness, explaining that an individual must watch their thoughts because they will ultimately transform into spoken words. These words, in turn, must be carefully monitored because they directly manifest as physical actions, which subsequently solidify into regular human behavior. Arthur Schopenhauer (1788–1860) was a German philosopher best known for his profound and often pessimistic views on human existence, desire, suffering, and happiness. Influenced by both Western philosophy and Indian traditions, particularly Buddhism and the Upanishads, he argued that human beings are driven by an endless “Will”—a blind force of desire that keeps us wanting and therefore keeps us vulnerable to suffering. His most famous work, The World as Will and Representation, explores this idea in depth. Schopenhauer believed that compassion, art, self-discipline, and reducing our attachment to endless desires could offer moments of freedom from suffering. His philosophy later influenced thinkers and writers such as Nietzsche, Freud, Wagner, and Tolstoy, making him one of the most influential philosophers of the 19th century. 📖🌑
The most unexpected part was what happened after I left. I genuinely felt like I didn’t know what to do with myself. It felt like I had to unlearn everything I THOUGHT I knew about life. These teachings challenged the way I viewed happiness, suffering, and attachment. It felt overwhelming at times because I was looking at the world through an entirely different lens. Learning & practicing this ancient wisdom completely shifted my thinking process and the way I looked at life. I had just spent 10 days experiencing a level of peace and clarity I had never felt before, and then I returned to a world full of distractions, desires, and constant stimulation. I began questioning everything. If the path is to let go of attachments and follow these teachings to end suffering, then does that mean giving up parts of what makes us human? Such as our dreams, passions, relationships, experiences etc..ya know and also… I really struggled with the concept of impermanence. I understand that everything changes, but I don’t knwo if ready to accept that the things that bring us joy are temporary — people, experiences, and chapters of our lives eventually come to an end. And to just always be okay with that. AND the biggest question I was left with was: Does this TRULY lead to the end of suffering? I didn’t leave with all the answers, I actually left with even more questions. Although now they came from a place of curiosity, not confusion. Does anyone else somewhat relate to this lol #buddhism #spirituality #swag #yolo
Just another day in monk life. 🙏 Today I was walking with Luang Pi @antonreflects and asked him a simple question: “After meditating every day for 30 days, what has meditation taught you?” His answer reminded me that meditation isn’t about becoming someone different. It’s about becoming more aware of who you already are. More present. More peaceful. More able to observe the mind without getting lost in it. I also believe that Our phones are probably one of our biggest enemies. Every few minutes we’re checking something, scrolling something, distracting ourselves from just being here. Sometimes the greatest transformation isn’t adding something new to your life—it’s removing the noise that prevents you from seeing clearly. This conversation will be coming soon to my YouTube channel. Stay tuned. 🙏#mind #spiritualjourney #buddhism #meditation #spirituality
