Because this video told the truth.
Many boys can't sit still.
So they tried to fix them.
Label them.
Medicate them.
But boys weren’t made to sit still.
They were made to move with purpose.
The problem was never the child.
The problem was a system that doesn’t honor how boys were designed.
At our school, we didn’t correct him.
We changed the #education environment.
And when you build a school that honors how boys were designed,
you don’t have to fix them—
you get to watch them flourish.

Once a year, I open the doors and show how this actually works.
✔ Tour the school
✔ Walk the farm
✔ Be my guest at dinner
✔ Leave with absolute clarity on how to open a school of your own
This is not inspiration.
This is infrastructure.
A working #school.
A proven path.

If this video resonated with you,
it’s because you already know:
The system doesn’t need another reform.
It needs builders.
This is education revival.
And we aren't asking permission.

One thing about Cooper, he’s always going to take every opportunity to sneak an outside animal in the house. 😅
And before yall start, NO this is not becoming an indoor cat!

So your starter peaks at the wrong time...
📌First make sure to follow @barefootandwiild for simple, no-stress sourdough tips!
The feeding ratio determines how fast it rises and how long it stays at peak. You just need to find a ratio that fits your starter and your schedule.
1:1:1 → Fast peak (4-6hrs)
1:3:3 → Balanced rise (6-8hrs)
1:5:5 → Slow + longer peak (8-12hrs)
If your starter is healthy and balanced, all three will get you the same end result. The only difference is how long it takes to reach peak.
There isn't one correct ratio. It's ok to use a different ratio every time you feed your starter!
My starter thrives off a 1:3:3 ratio, but I'll use a 1:1:1 ratio when I want to start my loaf sooner.
Save this so you can plan your bake 🥖

You don’t need a new diet. You need fewer decisions.
Consistency reduces metabolic variability, stabilises blood sugar, and lowers the cognitive load around food choices.
But more importantly—it makes health repeatable.
And if it’s not repeatable, it won’t work long term.
Start small:
Pick ONE anchor habit this week and automate it.
Because your body doesn’t respond to intensity.
It responds to consistency.

Ever feel like you’re just going through the motions with no real direction? 👀
One of the most powerful habits I’ve built is taking time out… just me, a pen and paper, and the right questions.
Every time I do it, I walk away with clarity, focus, and a fresh buzz for the future 🚀

Don’t have buttermilk on hand? No problem! Here, we make the perfect substitute by adding milk and acid together. 💛
Welcome to my new series Back To Basics where I show you how to recreate everyday grocery items at home! I use buttermilk frequently, and this trick has saved me from having to make an extra trip to the grocery store to pick up more.
When I host people overnight, I often use this buttermilk hack to create my easy Cinnamon Sugar Breakfast Loaf, where I use buttermilk to create a tender crumb.
Recipe by @ejscookin below:
Ingredients
1 cup whole milk
1 tablespoon removed
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice or white vinegar
Directions:
1. Pour one glass of whole milk, remove one tablespoon, and add one tablespoon of lemon juice or white vinegar. Allow to sit for 10 minutes.
Cinnamon Sugar Breakfast Loaf:
Ingredients
Cinnamon Sugar Mix:
• 1/3 cup
• 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Buttermilk Loaf
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 cup homemade buttermilk
• 2 cups cake flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
Directions:
1. In a bowl, mix the sugar and ground cinnamon together and set aside.
2. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
3. Butter a bread pan (mine was 10.5X3) and set aside.
4. In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and butter before adding the egg and homemade buttermilk. Mix until incorporated.
5. Sift in the flour and baking soda together in a separate bowl before adding to the wet ingredients.
6. Scoop 1/3 of the batter into the prepared loaf tin, then sprinkle 1/3 of the cinnamon sugar over top
7. Repeat these layers a second and third time and bake for 40-45 minutes.

How to Boil an Egg (the Right Way!)
In honour of World Egg Day, let’s get back to the basics! If you’ve ever ended up with cracked shells, green yolks, or eggs that won’t peel, I’ve been there! Here’s a foolproof way to boil an egg so it turns out just right every time.
The real magic, though? Having a BIG batch of hardboiled eggs ready to go makes busy weeks so much easier.
Here are my fave simple, nourishing ways my family likes to enjoy them throughout the week:
✨ Quick breakfast with fruit and toast
✨ Sliced onto avocado or hummus toast with salt & pep
✨ Chopped into salads or nourish bowls
✨ Packed in lunchboxes with crackers + veggies (keep reading for no-smell lunchbox options!)
✨ Mashed with Greek yogurt or mayo for egg salad sandwiches
✨ Turned into devilled eggs for a fun snack
✨ Sliced on top of ramen or noodle soups
✨ Chopped and mixed into curries or fried rice for extra protein
✨ Added to wraps, pita pockets, or quesadillas
✨ Blended into recipes (like my Lunchbox Chocolate Pudding) for a creamy nutrition boost
✨ Baked into family faves like Lunchbox Frittata Puffs or The Easiest Oatmeal Muffins
Want more? Comment “basics” below and I’ll send you my free recipe e-book packed with step-by-step instructions to boil the perfect egg, and tons of ways to use eggs in your family’s meals.

👩🏼🍳HOW TO SAFELY THAW CHICKEN (OR ANY OTHER PROTEIN) IN A HURRY! Thawing proteins of any kind on your countertop is risky from a food safety perspective. Instead, submerge the protein in airtight packaging (or a very tightly sealed Ziploc bag) in a baking dish or bowl of cool water. Change the water every 20-25 minutes until fully thawed. A 1-1.5 pound package of meat will safely thaw in under an hour. __
Note that hot water can start to cook the exterior of the protein before the interior has fully thawed, which poses a food safety risk but will also affect the texture of your protein. Cool water is your friend! #BackToBasics #cookingtips #learntocook
This wasn’t about doing more.
It was about doing the basics—consistently.
Over the last 7 days, you’ve:
✔ simplified your approach
✔ built repeatable habits
✔ focused on structure over extremes
And that’s where real change begins.
Don’t stop here.
Repeat this cycle. Refine it. Own it.
Because sustainable health isn’t built in phases.
It’s built in patterns you don’t break.
