My favorite angle of a jump from the learning to BASE jump documentary! 👀 It’s been out for a week on YouTube now so if you haven’t seen it, the link is in my bio!
CRANE ZIPLINE TO BASE JUMP👀
Follow @darkdisasterx What looks like an adrenaline rush can turn into a life-altering emergency in a split second. At the New River Gorge in West Virginia, a BASE jump turned into a harrowing accident when a jumper deployed their parachute too late. The delay caused the jumper to strike the water at a high rate of speed. While emergency crews stationed nearby responded immediately to provide medical aid, the incident resulted in serious injuries, including a concussion and fractured legs. This footage is a stark reminder that BASE jumping is one of the world's most dangerous adventure sports, where even a brief delay or small mistake can have life-changing consequences. #basejump #extremesports #adventure #safety #awareness

Scott Burke performing a BASE jump in Yosemite — it might look like something went wrong, but the landing was safe and fully intentional. The scene was filmed as part of a planned stunt. Burke was an accomplished American climber known for his bold and technical ascents in Yosemite during the late 1990s and early 2000s. He was especially recognized for his multi-pitch free climbing, including attempts on El Capitan. His skills extended beyond climbing into BASE jumping, capturing the adventurous spirit of that era. He was one of several athletes featured in Masters of Stone V, a film highlighting the blend of climbing, highlining, and aerial sports. 🎥 Footage from Masters of Stone V. #climb #climbinglife #rockclimber #yosemite #closecall #falls

In 2012, climber Will Oxx experienced a near-fatal accident during a skydiving stunt. While attempting a base jump from a cliff in the United States, Oxx’s parachute failed to deploy properly. Despite the malfunction, he managed to deploy his reserve parachute just in time, but the deployment was incomplete. He plunged into the water below, sustaining significant harm. The incident was captured on video and widely shared, serving as a stark reminder of the inherent risks in extreme sports. Oxx’s survival and subsequent recovery highlighted the importance of safety measures and quick thinking in high-risk activities. This video is shared for educational purposes only and contains no depictions of any individuals who have passed. Follow @surrealfootage for more! 🪂

This was my 3rd terminal BASE jump at Brento. Slick tracking is something I ended up enjoying more than anything on this trip. No aid from a suit and just purely flying your body! Such a great and freeing feeling jumping off a cliff and orienting your body to be able to actually fly and move horizontally. Can’t wait to dial it in and jump some new spots next trip. Thanks @josephtimothywilliams for capturing this 🤙🏽
Wingsuit BASE Jump through a Waterfall

It’s amazing that we as humans can fly. A wingsuit is made of nylon fabric that when pressurized will generate lift, and you go from falling to gliding. Modern suits can achieve a 3:1 glide ratio with consistent speed, meaning 3 feet forward for every 1 foot down. Amazing innovation!

A special shoutout to @jjdoesstuff1 for the follow cam on this shot! I’m inspired by his amazing flying talent but even more grateful to have such an awesome friend. We’ve shared a lot of cool adventures together and I can’t wait for more in the future.

This jump was made possible by @travelfreak. They’re finding the world’s best spots and telling the story behind them. Through cinematic travel content the mission is built around a simple idea: where you go is who you are.
