The Podcast Challenge🎙️
During the Reunion stay the young people worked in groups to produce their very own podcast. From coming up with ideas to scripting and recording their first episode, the young people fully embraced the challenge!
Guided by their amazing mentors @joshsmithhosts @_rajpander @pilarofsociety and @redhandedthepod , they shared their stories in a way they’ve never done before and used their voice to raise awareness of the ongoing challenges they face following a diagnosis.
The TYA’s pitched their podcast plans and ideas to a panel of judges from the marketing and podcast industry, including @the.socialclimber @ewannewbigginglister and Teens Unite Ambassador @mikhailacorbetthassit who decided the winners of each category🏆
We’re grateful to all the mentors and judges who supported us throughout this challenge. Your guidance and encouragement meant a great deal to the young people, enabling them to rebuild their confidence and self-esteem. Hearing your stories and experiences in the podcasting industry was both meaningful and inspiring for them🫶
Challenges and activities like these create an immeasurable difference to the young people we support. Enabling them to take on new experiences, challenge themselves to try something new and build new connections with others, living with and beyond cancer.
