BELIZE TRAVEL HACKS *save this post* I’ve been coming to Belize for 4 years & it never disappoints! It’s one of my favorite destinations in the Caribbean because of the FOOD- y’all know I am a foodie! Some of my favorite places in San Pedro, Belize: 1️⃣. The BAKER Hands down the best apple turnovers and pastries you’ve had in your life. So soft it melts in your mouth. The owner is from France & very sweet. They only take cash, no credit cards and are only open 7am-2pm. 2️⃣. @carambarestaurantandbar (accepts credit cards, no American Express). This is where you pick out your food and it’s cooked to perfection. Reservations fill up fast, but I drove by daily to make same day reservations and they accommodated me. 3️⃣. @elviskitchen is a San Pedro staple & they have live music select days in the evening. Try the snapper sere or snapper in a banana leaf… it’s so damn good! They accept credit cards (no Amex) and cash. 4️⃣. SOMEWHERE SOUTH restaurant for 2 for 1 mimosas in San Pedro. The Maldives is overrated👇🏽 Bacalar is the new Maldives that hasn’t been talked about yet! It is located in Mexico right on the border of Belize and has one of the most beautiful lagoons in the world with over 7 shades of blue water being found in it! It also has multiple Cenotes within the lagoon that go to depths of over 170m🤯 It is far cheaper, less touristy and even more beautiful than the Maldives! We booked our entire trip to Bacalar through @vacabeevoyage which saved us hundreds of dollars on hotels, activities like a sunrise paddle board tour and more!
