Bike maintenance for the girlies 💅 Changing a flat out on the road! This is if you're running tubes, and will save you some stress and hassle if you ever have to fix a flat tyre on the road. Put your bike somewhere safe. Remove your wheel, being careful not to pull the brake lever once the wheel is out. Fully deflate the tyre, and using your tyre lever remove one side of the tyre. Pull the valve out of the valve hole and remove the tube. Before popping in your replacement tube check your tyre doesn't have any sharp objects still stuck inside it. Pop your replacement tube in. Using your levers or hands get the tyre back onto the rim making sure not to pinch the tube between. Pump her up and way you go! Pop the tire open and scrape out any dried sealant puddles first. TT bike wash you can do at home 🚴‍♀️🧼 bottom line is degreaser… and more degreaser. I’m very guilty of not keeping my bike in pristine condition. But if you give your drivetrain a proper clean every couple of weeks (especially if you’re riding outdoors a lot) your chain can last up to 2x longer.
