The new spin ball refers to advanced spin bowling techniques that combine traditional spin with modern variations like the doosra, carrom ball, and knuckleball spin. The science behind it involves aerodynamics, grip, and finger/wrist motion.
When bowled, the seam position, speed, and spin rate affect how the ball drifts in the air and turns off the pitch. Variations in finger pressure and release angle create unexpected spin directions, making it hard for batters to read. The Magnus effect also plays a role, causing the ball to move sideways in the air due to its spin.
Modern spinners use biomechanics and slow-motion analysis to perfect these deliveries, confusing batters with deceptive flight and late turn, especially on dry or dusty pitches.

It’s all in the boots 🎿...This year I have been using @carv.ski , which uses AI to detect the motion of my boots to help me improve my carving technique and have really enjoyed it!
But one of the coolest parts i learned is that Carv uses this boot motion to detect the snow surface you are skiing and gives you coaching tips for that terrain so naturally I had to put this to the test and see what my foot work looked like in moguls, butters and side hits as well. I must say it’s pretty interesting to see what type of boot motion occurs for the different types of skiing. 🫶

Unlock the power of the Demon Sinker!
Use a sharpie to color a small circle—your “demon dot”—on the baseball near your sinker grip to visualize your spin clearly. Aim for around 70% spin efficiency, meaning you’ll see that dot wobble and tilt slightly in slow-motion analysis, maximizing late downward and arm-side movement.
This wicked pitch dives sharply late, producing heavy sink and impressive horizontal run, often causing weak contact and ground balls. With a precise release and the right tilt, your sinker will become unhittable—breaking bats and crushing hitters’ confidence!
Master your spin, master the game.

When FPS (frames per second) matches RPM (revolutions per minute), something visually satisfying happens—motion becomes incredibly smooth and stable. It creates the illusion that spinning objects are frozen, moving slowly, or gliding effortlessly without jitter. This synchronization between the camera’s frame rate and the object’s rotational speed eliminates strobing and visual artifacts, often seen in fan blades, wheels, or any rotating machinery. Whether used in video production, slow-motion analysis, or tech demos, aligning FPS with RPM is a clever trick to reveal motion in a new, almost hypnotic way.

Science plays a significant role in cricket, influencing various aspects of the game to enhance performance, strategy, and player safety. Here’s a brief overview:
1. Biomechanics
Bowling: Analyzing bowling actions helps reduce injuries and optimize speed and accuracy.
Batting: Studying the swing, stance, and shot timing improves performance.
Fielding: Techniques for catching and throwing are refined through motion analysis.
2. Physics
The behavior of the cricket ball during swing, seam, and spin bowling is explained by aerodynamics and friction.
Kinetic energy transfer in batting determines the power of a shot.
3. Sports Technology
High-speed cameras and Hawk-Eye systems assist in decision-making and performance review.
Wearable devices monitor player fitness, heart rate, and workload.
4. Material Science
Modern bats are designed using lightweight and durable materials to improve performance.
The design of protective gear, such as helmets and pads, ensures player safety.
5. Data Analytics
Analyzing match data and player statistics helps teams devise strategies.
Predictive models are used for selecting players and anticipating opponents' tactics.
Science not only enhances the game's competitiveness but also ensures players' longevity and safety on the field.

Magnífico 🔥
This is a sweet sweet swing!!
Watch the load into the back leg and the big leg kick that creases into the back hip
The slow stretch of the front foot forward as the upper body works back
The hips torquing first as the barrel torque around the back shoulder
The bat path working uphill
The posture adjusting to the pitch location and holding through rotation
This is a thing of beauty 🔥
Usain Bolt Block Start - Breakdown (SLOW MO) ✅
*He never his triple extension*
Lets breakdown Bolts Block start. I first want to point out bolt was never know for his block starts or his drive phase but he is the greatest sprinter we have ever seen so its important that we study what made him so great.
His Shoulders have a slight lean over his hands and his shins are angled to project him down the track. He “Jumps” out of the blocks using both of his legs. And does all of the normal things like big violent arms and low heal recovery, but he doesn’t hit triple extension on his initial push out, which I very interesting.
Does a great job striking way behind his COM then using the power from his hips to boost him forwards. But it seems as if he never hits triple extension on any stride when he sprint.
Share this with someone if you never knew this. Follow for more slow breakdowns!
