“Birdmen” by Close-Act Theatre @closeact are three gigantic, stilt-walking puppets that roam the @lincolncenter campus as part of the #BigUmbrella Festival today and tomorrow, July 6 and 7, 2024. These clips were captured this morning. They will perform again today at 5 PM and tomorrow, July 7 at 4 pm and 7 pm.
A longer footage can be viewed on my YouTube channel @NYClovesNYC

Birdman (2014)
This subtle mistake breaks the entire illusion. 🎬
As Michael Keaton lands, a crew member dressed as a pedestrian walks directly behind him. He reaches out and unhooks the safety wires in plain sight.
Alejandro Iñárritu usually hides his practical effects perfectly, but this detail slipped through the final edit. The magic of the "continuous shot" reveals its secrets right here.
