What are you doing this weekend? I’ve got the cutest hidden away cake shop for you. To find it you go on a little bushwalk in the Blue Mountains and then you’ll come across this gorgeous yellow cake stand. . House of Suns is only open one day a week on Saturday morning and you have to get there early. Romi bakes these incredible cake that are inspired by her Chilean heritage with flavours like dulce de leche and maracuya or passion fruit. There’s also brownie and alfajores or South American shortbread cookies. . We tried this gorgeous Torta Caluga which is a no bake raspberry cake as well as a Torta Mixta with blueberries and dulce de leche on a sponge cake. If you love dulce de leche she has a dulce de leche flavoured sponge that is also filled with it along passion fruit jam. We also tried the torta hoharasca which is made with lots of layers of pastry filled with dulce de leche. The Torta Manhar Nuez is made with walnuts and dulce de leche. I also really loved the alfajores because there was passionfruit caramel jam inside. . Super bloom though the Blue Mountains… what comes with fires of the 2019 (5.5million hectares in NSW burnt .. but a total of 17 million hectares Australia wide) has brought on a floral display that’s unforgettable… and with some good rain.. It has taken 7 years for some of the native woodlands to reach maturity to bloom.. just a small example here as I stopped to look.. like Boronia, Prostanthera, Hibertia, Baurea, Tetratheca, Gompholobiums and Pultenaea.. and sooo many insects and so much bird song in the late afternoons.. If I could relive my trip to 📍 The Blue Mountains, here's exactly how I'd do it ↴   IT'D BE SPECIFICALLY → over 2-3 sunny & warm weekdays → with a rental car (the bus is very limited out there) → stay overnight to finish off day one with sunset → start the following morning with a beautiful pink glowy sunrise → and spend both days hiking the less visited trails (preferably ones with waterfalls)   that said, Blue Mountains trip anyone?? #bluemountains #sydneyaustralia #bluemountainsnsw #whvaustralia #solotravel
