Imagine if your local Walmart parking lot looked like this, I bet everyone would return their cart. 🤣😍🥰 Georgia’s mountain towns are undefeated. 🥇 This is the parking lot at Mercier Orchards in Blue Ridge, GA. It overlooks apple orchards where more than 50 varieties of apples are grown, a few ponds that are used to water the apples, and rolling blue ridge mountains. This orchard and farm market is absolutely awesome from the minute you park the car! $2 ciders, $1.25 donuts, fried pies, ice cream, bags of muffin mix that smell amazing, coffee, and a lot more. Then you can eat the donuts while overlooking this view. This place is awesome! 👏 And yes, we just took it upon ourselves to make a beauty contest for cart returns AND named the winner 🤪 why not 🤷‍♂️ life is more fun when you pay extra appreciation to the little things! 😌 #georgia #blueridgegeorgia #applemarket #mercierorchards

A developer had plans to build a 192,000 sq ft industrial complex on 31 acres off Cagle Road near GA-365, with 10 warehouse and flex-industrial buildings of varying sizes. Hall county Commissioners rejected it. But the buildings themselves weren’t the biggest concern. Residents and officials focused heavily on truck traffic. The site sits close to the proposed Blue Ridge Connector inland port, and many worried the current road network wouldn’t handle the increase in semis and freight traffic. Instead of tabling the request, Hall County commissioners voted to deny the rezoning outright, stopping the project for now. That said, this area will likely continue seeing industrial proposals. With the Blue Ridge Connector expected to attract more logistics and distribution projects, northeast Hall County could become a key hub for future development.
