Boise in one day? I say… absolutely. ✨ For a compact, well-rounded visit, Boise truly delivers. You can eat incredibly well, wander downtown on foot, stumble upon public art, cruise the river, and still have time to sit down for a solid dinner, all without feeling rushed or over planned. It’s the kind of city that’s easy to settle into… even if you’re just passing through. And honestly? That’s what makes it so special. Is Boise on your travel bucket list?✈️

But first—make sure to book Hotel Renegade @hotelrenegade. It’s Boise’s newest “industrial-glam” boutique hotel, featuring brass fixtures, velvet decor, and an amazing rooftop bar called The Highlander. Where to Eat & Drink • Blue Collar Coffee Co: @drinkbluecollar Located right in the Hotel Renegade lobby. We loved the whole vibe of this coffee shop with great breakfast options and high-end Ruby Roasters coffee. • BACON: @baconboise A Boise legend. Our kids love bacon and this place was a family favorite! • Baraboo Supper Club: @baraboosupperclub Also at the hotel. Very family friendly with high end food! We loved everything they served! Things to Do in Boise • Idaho State Capitol: A stunning, marble-filled building heated entirely by geothermal water… so cool! • Zoo Boise: @zooboise Right downtown in Julia Davis Park; the red pandas were our favorite! • Camel’s Back Trails: An easy family friendly “hike” to the top of the “hump” in the North End for the best panoramic view of the City of Trees. Road Trip Stops • Big Idaho Potato Hotel: @bigidahopotatohotel A literal 6-ton, 28-foot-long potato turned into a luxury Airbnb. Essential for the “only in Idaho” photo. Influenced by @ryantrahan ‘s 50 states in 50 days YouTube series… we just had to see it for ourselves! • Three Island Crossing State Park: Walk the original wagon ruts where pioneers on the Oregon Trail made a historic river crossing… so many nostalgic memories, playing the Oregon Trail computer game as a kid. 🙃 • Malad Gorge: Part of Thousand Springs State Park. Walk the bridge 250 feet above the river for a dramatic view into the canyon. • Shoshone Falls: Known as the “Niagara of the West” and living only 20 minutes from Niagara Falls we had to see this! It’s actually taller than Niagara Falls and looks best from the park’s multiple cliffside viewing platforms. Have you been to Idaho? What can you add to this list? Tell us below in the comments!! 🤗
Enjoy your stay at the @innat500 the next time you’re in Boise ✨ This boutique hotel features 57 uniquely themed rooms inspired by Boise and the surrounding area. I loved the cozy lobby and the artwork throughout the hotel — it feels special the moment you walk in. At check-in, you’re welcomed with a complimentary glass of wine or beer and have access to snacks throughout your stay. Every room features a luxurious bathroom, gas fireplace, and even a butler closet for room service delivery. Our view of the Capitol and downtown Boise was incredible — such a cozy stay. I could go for a morning on the Boise Greenbelt right now… How ‘bout you? We’re entering my favorite season and I absolutely love that I get to call Boise home. ✅ Morning Greenbelt walks ✅ Afternoon bike ride to @wyldchildboise for the best burger in Boise ✅ Ice cream at @ilovethestil to top it off ✅ Or live music and food trucks at @greenacresboise ✅ The tiny ducklings along the river (so cute) ✅ Patio evenings with a firepit, a glass of wine, and a 9pm sunset… yes please This is when Boise really shows off. If you’re visiting over the next few months… just be warned. You might not want to leave. And if you’re thinking about moving to Boise and trying to figure out which part of the Treasure Valley fits your life best, I’ve got you. Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my relocation guide so you can start comparing. New here? 👋🏻 hey, hi, I’m Tonya. Follow along for more Idaho vibes and local living.
