Here is part two of my recent book bind ! Including the finished product , I had a lot of fun making this 🩵🥰 #bookbindings #booksta

Hi everyone! I recently discovered the satisfying sound of cracking pages ready to be unfolded after the paint has dried 😊. I made my first attempt at painting the edge of a book with the last book I have rebound, and I'm quite happy with it! I don't have professional material, so I used basic brushes and acrylic paint available in all hobby stores. The Jules Verne story was the best to try that out, since I knew it would look cute with basic drawings. It seemed complicated to be able to finely draw on this media. Maybe I haven't squeezed the book press enough, I'm not sure 🤔. What do you think I could do to make it easier? ----- bookbinding, book, books, creative, creation, binding, craft, crafting, cardboard, bookcloth, bookrebinding, design, DIY, idea, ideas, homemade

This is a beginners tutorial I made a few months ago! It was posted on my TikTok which has a much larger following, but not here. Happy bookbinding!📖🏰

I’ll have a tutorial up soon, I prefer a different case style for my hardcover to hardcover rebinds, especially the ones with pinched spines #bookbinding #rebinding #bookbinder #smallbookshop #smallbusiness

Share with a friend who is DONE waiting on special edition waitlists! My bookbinding journey has been full of ups and downs, trial and error, and lots and lots of practice. Two years ago I began by binding fanfiction so I could hold my favorite stories in my hands while reading them. I was hearing from all my friends how long it actually took to get off the waitlists for some special edition subscription boxes. Years, for some. My husband challenged me to start making my own custom editions to give people exclusive art that they want, without the wait. Working with artists to create exclusive art for the books I love has been amazing, and transforming paperbacks into hardcovers I'm happy to have on my shelf has been such a surreal experience!
