Let's talk about Goodreads. Since users can rate and review books as soon as galleys are out, I've spent the past two months checking MEANT TO BE MINE's stats (probably far too often). Every book starts with a fresh 5.0 rating and pretty much only drops from there — fun, right? Reviews on this platform are notoriously brutal. Honest criticisms are fair, but mean-spirited reviews can be frustrating. I try not to take them too seriously, but at the same time, I know some readers really value what others have to say when choosing what to read.
If you've read any of my books, MTBM included, I'd be so appreciative if you could leave a rating or review on Goodreads, and add MTBM as "want to read." Below, I'm sharing snippets of my favorite reviews for my next book. These make me so happy! I truly have the best readers.

📚 BOOK REVIEW: THE WOMEN BY KRISTIN HANNAH 📚
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5 stars

I finally finished The Women by Kristin Hannah, and what an incredibly powerful and emotional read this was. ❤️
The story follows twenty-year-old Frances “Frankie” McGrath, who, after hearing the words “Women can be heroes, too,” decides to join the Army Nurses Corps and follow her brother to Vietnam.
Frankie arrives in Vietnam young, inexperienced and completely unprepared for the horrors of war. Through her eyes, we see not only the devastating realities of the battlefield, but also what happens when the soldiers return home to a country that has changed dramatically.
One of the things I truly loved about this book was the characters. I became so invested in Frankie and the women around her. Their friendships, their strength, their struggles and everything they went through made them feel incredibly real. I genuinely cared about what happened to them, and I found myself thinking about them even when I wasn't reading.
What really stood out to me was the way Kristin Hannah shines a light on the women who served. Their bravery, sacrifice and experiences were so often overlooked, and I loved seeing their stories brought to the forefront.
There were moments that broke my heart, moments that made me angry, and moments that reminded me just how important friendship can be when everything around you feels like it's falling apart.
This was an emotional and thought-provoking story that stayed with me long after I turned the final page. It isn't always an easy read, but it's an important one.
