Grief doesn’t knock.
It lingers…in silences, in pages, in poems like these.
Avoidance by Misaal held my hand through the ache.
When you’re ready… it will hold yours too. 🌧️📖

🌾 Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler 🌾
This books opens to the year 2024 and is a startling dystopian projection of our future. It is wildly heavy and pulls zero punches. Despite the loaded content, I had difficulty putting it down because the pacing and plot were sharp and engaging.
Octavia Butler is my current all time favorite author. She is able to get to the most profound truths of humanity without bogging her writing down with overly abstract or pompous language.
The characters and setting are exquisite and complex. I can’t wait to see where their stories go in the sequel. Lauren is beyond captivating. Every step of her journey is rich and impactful.
This is not a story I expected to walk away loving at much as I did. I’m sure this will be a series I come back to in thoughts and conversations for a long long time.

My latest bestseller‘The Ripple Effect; Healing Ourselves, Healing Our Planet’ is not just a book; it is a mirror, held up to reflect the consequences of humanities disconnection – from ourselves, each other, and the natural world. Rather than delivering prescriptive solutions, it offers something far more radical: an invitation to see the world, and our place in it, differently.
The power of the book lies in its systemic framework. Endorsed by the paradigm shifting systems thinker Fritjof Capra, it dismantles the illusion of separation – the belief that our health is independent from the planet’s, that our choices exist in isolation. Instead it reveals the profound interdependence of lifestyle, environment, and societal structures, crafting a narrative that is both urgent and timeless.
What makes The Ripple Effect unique is its emphasis on reconnection, not as an abstract ideal, but as a deeply human practice. Its insights on how walking in a forest, meditating, or mindful eating can regenerate more than just our body is deeply revolutionary. Simple actions, often dismissed as trivial, are elevated to act of resistance against a culture that prioritises consumption over connection.
Yet The Ripple Effect does not shy away from the stark realities of our global crisis. It confronts us with uncomfortable truths: the systems that drive chronic disease, inequality, and environmental collapse. But rather than leaving us in despair, the book paints a hopeful vision of what healing could look like – not through grand, unattainable gestures, but through every day decisions that ripple outward.
The beauty of The Ripple Effect is its subtlety. It doesn’t scream for change; it whispers. It asks you to pause, notice, and reconsider. It’s a quiet revolution, one that begins not with protests, but with the simple, profound act of remembering our connection to the natural world, to each other and to our own sacred nature.

These books go beyond fiction and history to show the realities of caste, class, power, politics, and survival. They reflect voices that are often ignored and stories that are uncomfortable but necessary. Each book offers a deeper look into the society we live in and the past that still shapes our present. Reading them isn’t just about finishing a book it’s about learning, unlearning, and seeing India with more honesty and empathy.

Infertility can break you in slow, quiet ways...
The unspoken grief, the invisible weight, the crushing isolation.
I never expected infertility to be part of my story, let alone define so much of my life.
Unspoken exists because infertility is more than a diagnosis. It’s a battle that changes you. It forces you to navigate grief while still holding onto hope, a balance that feels nearly impossible at times.
It’s heartbreak and resilience.
It’s feeling like the world is moving forward while you’re standing still.
It's been one month since Unspoken launched… and what an emotional ride it’s been.
The messages I’ve received have been overwhelming, in the best way.
💬 From people navigating infertility who finally feel seen.
💬 From readers who say Unspoken is the first time the emotional toll has ever been captured in words and that there’s truly nothing else like it.
💬 From patients, partners, friends, family members, mental health professionals, and industry leaders who say this is the book everyone needs to read.
That was my goal.
I wrote Unspoken to break the silence. To help others know they are not broken, not alone, and that everything they’re feeling is valid. And for the rest of the world, to finally understand, learn, and grow.
We’ve already hit bestselling status, but this is just the beginning. The work doesn’t stop here.
📖 If you still need a copy, you can find Unspoken worldwide, everywhere books are sold (link in bio) or comment "Unspoken" and I will dm you the link. If Unspoken resonated with you, leaving a quick review on Goodreads or Amazon helps others discover it when they need it most.
Thank you for being part of this movement. 🤍
