đ Reposting this mind-blowing fact from our Brain Balance team in Jacksonville!
đ§ Neuroscience shows us something powerful: the brain is not fixed. Itâs adaptable and capable of making new connections throughout life.
This means kids, teens, and even adults can strengthen the areas of the brain that impact focus, behavior, learning, and emotional regulation.
At Brain Balance, we see this every day. With the right activities and support, we can help rewire the brain to build stronger pathwaysâso challenges donât have to define the future.
đĄ Whether your child struggles with attention, behavior, or learningâor youâre an adult noticing patterns youâd like to changeâitâs never too late to tap into the brainâs ability to grow and thrive.
⨠Change is possible. Growth is possible. A brighter future is possible.

Ever wonder whatâs really happening in the brain during psychosis or schizophrenia? đ
đ§ The left brain loves the virtual world, it fills in gaps, imagines, and creates.
The right brain keeps us grounded in reality through whatâs called âreality testing.â
When the left brain becomes too dominant, it suppresses those right-brain networks that check whatâs real and what isnât.
Thatâs when we begin to lose touch with reality.
From a neurological perspective, thatâs the essence of psychosis, the brainâs balance between imagination and reality has shifted too far.
Change the brain.
Change the outcome.
Change lives.

It might look random⌠but this is actually a powerful brain-based exercise.
đŁ One sock on / one sock off
This creates contrast. One foot feels more stimulation than the other, which forces the brain to notice differences and process sensory input more clearly.
That helps with:
⢠Better body awareness
⢠Improved balance
⢠Stronger focus
⢠Fewer emotional outbursts
âď¸ Rubbing on the spiked Bobo surface
The bottom of the feet is packed with sensory receptors that connect directly to the brain and nervous system.
Stimulating them helps integrate reflexes like the Babinski reflex and strengthens the vestibular system (your balance center).
If this system is weak, kids may struggle with:
â Clumsiness
â Toe walking
â Trouble sitting still
â Anxiety or constant movement
đł Rezzimax on the LEFT arm & LEFT leg
Weâre stimulating the left side on purpose.
The left side of the body talks to the RIGHT side of the brain. When one hemisphere is weaker, targeted vibration helps wake it up and improve brain-body communication.
đ Blue glasses (lighting up on one side)
These help calm visual overload and can gently stimulate one hemisphere more than the otherâsupporting attention and regulation.
⨠When you combine foot stimulation + vibration + visual input, youâre giving the brain a full sensory workout.
This is how we help kids improve:
đ§ Focus
đ§ Emotional regulation
đ§ Coordination
đ§ Confidence

Here are 5 ways ADHD looks different in adults vs kids from our amazing team at Palm Beach Gardens:
1ď¸âŁ Internal restlessness vs hyperactivity
Kids may bounce off the walls. Adults? We feel mentally restlessâconstantly thinking, fidgeting, or multitasking.
2ď¸âŁ Chronic procrastination
Not just missing homework anymore. Itâs bills, laundry, replying to emails⌠even when we want to get it done.
3ď¸âŁ Emotional dysregulation
Quick frustration, anxiety, or sensitivity to rejection can feel overwhelmingâand itâs not âjust stress.â
4ď¸âŁ Executive dysfunction, not laziness
Trouble planning, organizing, or following throughâespecially on long-term goals or tasks with multiple steps.
5ď¸âŁ Masking and burnout
Many adults have learned to âmaskâ their symptoms to keep up. But over time, this leads to exhaustion and burnout.
đą ADHD is real in adults, and it deserves to be understoodânot minimized.
Youâre not lazy. Youâre not failing. Your brain just works differentlyâand thatâs okay.
đAt Brain Balance, we specialize in helping kids and teens with ADHD, anxiety, and focus struggles through a personalized, non-medical program that addresses the root of the issue.

Ever since I was a kid, I wondered about the quote, âThereâs a thin line between genius and insanity.â Why wouldnât someone whoâs incredibly gifted also be happy?
Years later, my work helped me understand the answer.
When one area of the brain is extremely gifted or advanced, the opposite side can be more vulnerable. That imbalance can lead to learning challenges, disabilities, or even serious mental health issues. But hereâs the good news: we can change that.
We donât have to dim the gift.
We strengthen the weaker side.
We build balance.
And we help people become what they were meant to be: brilliant and thriving.
