TETRACAMPEÃO ASIÁTICO 🇯🇵2023-2024-2025-2026 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Boa noite, galera 🇧🇷

Mark Zuckerberg competing in his first Jiu Jitsu tournament shocked the internet 😳
Most people know Zuckerberg as the billionaire behind Meta and Facebook…
But fans were surprised seeing him take martial arts seriously and actually compete in a real Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament.
After the event, Mark Zuckerberg talked about how intense and exciting the experience felt.
Unlike normal business or tech environments, combat sports force you into direct pressure situations where there’s nowhere to hide mentally.
That’s one reason Zuckerberg said he became so addicted to training.
Many MMA fans were also surprised by how calm and focused he looked during competition despite it being his first tournament.
The clip went viral because people never expected one of the world’s biggest tech billionaires to genuinely enjoy grappling and martial arts culture this much.
But according to Zuckerberg, Jiu Jitsu gave him something completely different from running companies or building technology:
Real competition.
Real pressure.
Real focus. 💀

UFC 1 changed martial arts forever.
For the first time on a national stage, fans watched Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tested against completely different fighting styles: boxing, wrestling, kickboxing, karate, and more. Most people had never seen Jiu Jitsu before, and few expected the quiet, undersized Royce Gracie to dominate a tournament filled with larger, more intimidating opponents.
That was exactly the point.
Royce didn’t look like the toughest fighter in the room. He wasn’t the biggest, strongest, or loudest competitor. But by using technique, leverage, and control, he showed the world that a smaller person could overcome bigger opponents through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
What started as an experiment became a turning point in combat sports history. UFC 1 introduced millions of people to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and proved that skill could overcome size in ways most fans had never imagined.

Send this to your girls in PHUKET 😉
We’re hosting a FREEE women’s only Brazilian Jiu Jitsu open mat with on Sunday 12th April! ✨
There’s something really special about training in a room full of women, and it’s not something we get to experience often in this sport. It makes me so happy seeing women support each other and learn from one another, and I want this event to feel just as magical. 🥰
If you’re a complete beginner, come down and try it.
If you’re more experienced, you already know how important spaces like this are, and I’d love for you to be there and share your knowledge on the mats too. Then have a roll and connect with other women who train on the island!
We’ll also be raising money for the Pavena Foundation, supporting women and children affected by abuse and human trafficking in Thailand.
Come and join us!!!

I started training Brazilian jiu jitsu at 40 years old.
I was so in my head at the time thinking…”man, I am too old for this. I’m going to be 60 before I get a black belt.”
And then I thought, “I’m going to be 60 ANYWAY; I’d rather be 60 with a f*****g black belt.”
Today I’m 54 years old and only a couple years away (🤞🏼coach willing) from said black belt.
But that’s not even the point now.
What I’ve learned and experienced in my years of training martial arts has quite literally changed my life.
How I walk through the world, how I feel about my ability to keep going when things get rough.
The incredible friendships I’ve made along the way. (Y’all know who you are)
The value in continuing to show up for myself and others.
Having the opportunity to teach other women and girls how to keep themselves and the ones they love safer.
I truly believe I would not be the person I am today without training.
Every class is an investment in my future self.
It’s never too late to start training. Lifting, martial arts, dance, whatever makes you feel alive.
What will your midlife plot twist be? 🤍

It’s always the guys that do the least expecting a new belt at promotions. Ever since the day @jp_toomuch and in screaming about deserving a black belt, I’ve been waiting and plotting this moment.

I started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as a little girl in Brazil with nothing but a dream and a love for the sport. Back then there was no money in BJJ for women. No pathway, no opportunities, nothing that could help me take care of my family. So I made a decision. I went and fought in the UFC. I gave everything I had in that cage, made it to the top, and used every opportunity the UFC gave me to build a life I was proud of.
But I never forgot where it all started. The mat. The sport that built me before anyone knew my name.
When the conversation came up about building something that would give BJJ athletes the pathway I never had, I did not hesitate. This is personal. This is everything I wished existed when I was competing with no financial future in the sport I loved.
Today I am proud to lead UFC BJJ as Senior Director of Jiu Jitsu Strategy and Business Development. We are building the global infrastructure for this sport from local open tournaments all the way to a UFC BJJ world title. The journey I had to take the long way around to build, the next generation will have from day one.
None of this happens without two people who believed in this vision and pushed it forward every single day. @danawhite and @stephen_tecci , thank you. You did not just give me a role. You gave me a mission. And I do not take that lightly.
August 22nd. Las Vegas. This is just the beginning. 💪🏻
