People warned me about travelling to Romania…
One of the first things we wanted to do in Bucharest was spend a day at Therme. We arrived during the Christmas holidays, on a weekend, and the place was absolutely packed. The queue looked well over an hour long, so we joined the back like everyone else.
A few minutes later, someone came over, took us out of the queue, and led us inside. I genuinely had no idea what was happening.
It turned out that in Romania, families with young children aren’t expected to stand in long queues. We were taken straight into the warmth because Stella was little.
It’s funny because people often warn you about travelling further east in Europe, but our experience couldn’t have been more different. We felt incredibly safe, and there seemed to be a real culture of looking out for families with young children.
It genuinely made me wonder… should more countries do the same?

I found a hidden LEGO shop in Bucharest, Romania 🇷🇴…
From the outside, it didn’t even look like a store that sells LEGO sets.
So obviously… I had to investigate 👀
I followed the signs inside… and found shelves packed with new and retired LEGO sets.
But the craziest part?
This is the ONLY independent LEGO store in the entire city of Bucharest!
Which honestly makes this place feel even more random.
Sometimes the best LEGO finds aren’t the biggest stores… they’re the ones nobody expects 🤩!
