Big Bull Trout Eats Cutthroat. ~ “We witnessed something truly special. We were fishing for Cutthroat Trout in a pool that looked very promising. The weird thing was, we weren’t getting any hits. After about 5 minutes, we knew something was up. Since the fish were being tricky, we decided to downsize our tippet and go smaller with our flies. The first cast after we switched, Aiden had hooked a nice fish. Within seconds, a massive 30”+ Bull Trout appeared out of nowhere to eat the Cutthroat he had hooked. Targeting bull trout can be a lot of fun, we’ve been doing it for the last 8 years. Nymphing is a very effective method.
