New Asian Restaurant in Gulshan 📍 @baanbusaba.bd Address- 24/24, Hamid Tower, Gulshan North Signal, Circle 2, Dhaka, 1212 Visited on Eid Day for the first time and found out they’re a sister concern of Ruen Busaba. Despite all the rush, we were served all the food pretty quickly, servers checked on us constantly and apologized for not being able to give their 100% due to Eid rush (even though we didn’t complain). I’ll definitely go back on a regular day just because I had such a pleasant experience on one of the busiest days of the year. Place was packed so I couldn’t take clips of the interior but some key points include they have two private rooms for parties/family and friends dining, they have a smoking room, interior is dark and moody during night (that’s when I visited). Pad Thai (Chicken)- They got the flavours right, a decent option if you’re looking for Pad Thai. Price 499 Fish Cake and Shrimp Cake- Textures, flavours, fragrance everything was right. Price 479 Shrimp Cream Cheese Dumpling- Creamy and rich. Price 599 Thai Ice Tea- Very runny and thin. Not recommended. Price 400 Khao Soi Chicken- Rich, thick, coconutty with different textures. Good one. Price 599 Prawn and Cheese Ball- Didn’t try it. Price 589 Som Tum Papaya Salad (Beef)- Absolutely loved the umami flavour! As an avid papaya salad fan, I loved it. Price 599 Overall, I wish the portions were bigger (everything is 1:1) but no complaints taste wise.

This Ramadan I had the chance to try the iftar platters at @baanbusaba.bd an East Asian restaurant offering a unique variety of Asian dishes. The restaurant has a cozy ambiance with around 40+ seating capacity, making it a nice spot for small iftar gatherings with friends or family. I was invited to try their iftar platters and loved the food so much that I visited again with my friends and everyone enjoyed it. . ➡️ Platters I tried: ▪︎ Basma: 1449++ (Platter for 1) - Although it’s designed for one person, the portion is quite generous. The platter includes crispy morning glory, vermicelli with minced beef in house special sauce, crispy chicken in pandan leaf, chicken larb taco, and chicken khao soi as starters. For mains, there was Baan Busaba crispy beef, penang curry chicken, and truffle egg fried rice. The platter ends with a soft taro milk cake and a drink of your choice (mango, orange, or guava strawberry). The chicken khao soi was definitely my favorite. . ▪︎ Ana: 1449++ (Platter for 1) - This platter includes prawn har gow, steamed seabass in red curry sauce, vermicelli glass noodles with minced beef in house sauce, and red curry chicken with roti pancakes as starters. For mains, there was steamed jasmine rice served with seafood in young coconut and yellow curry paste. Dessert was a unique and delicious Milo crème brûlée along with a drink of your choice. . □ Overall, the iftar platters at Baan Busaba are flavorful, well-portioned, and offer a great mix of East Asian dishes. If you're looking to try something different this Ramadan, their iftar platters are definitely worth checking out.
